~ novo amor, carry youLydia suddenly shot up in her spot, taking a deep breath and glancing around at her surroundings. She didn't recognize where she was at first. It looked like she was outside, she could feel the cold snow beneath her and when she looked up, she could see the stars. It wasn't until she looked forward and saw the Mikaelsons and their house behind them that she knew where she was, but she didn't know how she got there. Lydia glanced to her left and saw Elena getting off of the ground and when she looked to her right she saw Kol doing the same, but she didn't understand what was going on. The last thing she remembered was taking Elena's hand and then everything went dark.
Before Lydia could say or do anything, she felt someone throw their arms around her and she was pulled into a bone crushing hug. It took Lydia a moment to learn that it was Caroline, only when she spoke did Lydia realize it was her.
"Oh my god, I was so worried about you," Caroline exclaimed loudly, letting out a sigh of relief.
Lydia slowly hugged back. Everything was a bit fuzzy to her these past few days but she remembered something about laying in bed with Caroline. She still didn't know quite what was going on."I'm okay, Care. What's going on?"
Caroline pulled away and scanned Lydia nervously, wondering why Lydia was asking. She figured Lydia wouldn't remember being brought out here, but she didn't know if Lydia forgot more than that."What's the last thing you remember?"
Lydia furrowed her brows and tried to think back to what she remembered."The last clear thing I remember was being in town with Klaus. After that everything's kind of fuzzy."
"Well, we saved your life," Caroline shrugged her shoulders, standing up and offering her hand to Lydia's for her to take."Well, Elvira and Kol did. They found a way to fix you."
Lydia nodded her head slowly, letting out a small breath as she glanced around. She had seen Kol at her side just moments ago, but now as she looked around she didn't see him anywhere. She didn't see Elena either.
"How did you guys do that?" Lydia asked curiously, still not even sure she really understood what was going on as Caroline led her over to where everyone was standing, not letting go of her hand for even a second.
"Well, your life was basically linked to Kol's," Caroline answered in the simplest way. She could tell Lydia was still a little bit out of it. She was also a little careful when talking about Kol. One of the last things Lydia truly remembered was them going on a break.
Lydia frowned upon hearing this. Linked to Kol? What exactly did that mean? Did that mean if she died, so did he? Or if he died, did she? Lydia had so many questions and unfortunately, there weren't many answers but Lydia didn't get a chance to find that out before she felt someone throw their arms around her.
