question of the chapter; should i bring freya in? as of now i have no plans to include her.

Lydia didn't know why she agreed to give up her Friday night for this. Friday nights were always Lydia's favourite. It was the day she assigned for herself to do absolutely nothing. She didn't go out with her friends or study or complete an assignment. She just relaxed. She would read a book, watch a movie, or work on a drawing. Elena and Jeremy were usually out with friends, and Jenna was home sometimes. Sometimes they'd order takeout together, other times Jenna would also be out of the house. So it would be just Lydia. And she loved having that alone time.

But for some reason, she let Rae convince her to go to some football scrimmage that was between their high school and the one in the town over. Rae had a bit of a thing with one of the players on the team and didn't want to go alone, so Lydia agreed to go with her, even though she knew Rae had other friends that she could've gone with.

"I can't believe I agreed to this," Lydia mumbled, rubbing her hands together which were currently wrapped in warm mittens. But they didn't feel all that warm at the moment. Lydia was shivering, despite being bundled up in a coat, wearing both a hat and scarf as well. She didn't understand how so many people had showed up for the game. The stands were packed with people. Students, faculty, and parents. From both schools. Lydia was surprised they even managed to find a seat.

"Come on, Lydia, it's good for you to get out of the house every once in a while," Rae encouraged her, but that didn't make Lydia feel any more happy about her choice.

"But couldn't you have picked a warmer activity?" Lydia asked as she shivered from the cold burst of wind that blew through.

"Fresh air is also good for you," Rae answered with a bit of a laugh, causing Lydia to roll her eyes playfully.

"So, which one are you interested in any way?" Lydia asked her, trying to distract herself from the cold weather.

"Number twenty two," Rae answered, pointing towards the field.

"Number twenty two?" Lydia frowned, looking around for him but she couldn't see him."I don't see a twenty two on our school's team."

"That's because he's not on our school's team," Rae corrected."He's on the other team."

"Oh," Lydia replied, but she wasn't able to get a good look at the guy since he was too far away and being blocked by some teammates as they ran around with the ball. Lydia had no idea how this game worked. She wasn't much of a sports person since she wasn't allowed to play because of her condition. She used to like volleyball when she was younger, and dance, but sadly she had to give both of those up.
