question of the chapter: which tvdu show is your favourite?

Lydia wrapped her hands around the mug of hot chocolate in her hand, tapping her foot impatiently as she stared ahead at the two empty seats in front of her. The cafe that she sat in was relatively empty, with only one other customer and someone working behind the counter. Most of the cafe's usual customers would've been in class since it was located near the college. That's why Lydia decided on meeting here. She knew it would be nearly empty.

The sound of the door pushing open alerted Lydia that someone had come inside. She looked up to see Damon rushing into the cafe, his eyes darting around frantically until they finally settled on her. His eyebrows raised when he saw her casually drinking her cup of hot chocolate and eating a strawberry tart. He moved over to her quickly.

"Lydia, what's wrong?" He demanded looking at her up and down. She certainly didn't look like she was in a crisis. She looked calm and content.

"I need your advice on something," She answered, setting her cup down on the small plate in front of her.

Damon's eyes narrowed at her almost instantly as he huffed."That's what you need? My advice? You told me there was an emergency!"

"I needed you to get here fast," Lydia shrugged her shoulders."You aren't exactly the most punctual person."

Damon opened his mouth to respond, but quickly closed it and let out a frustrated and angry groan while he lifted his hands up and squeezed his fingers as if he was choking Lydia.

"Do you know how many accidents I probably caused on the drive over here?" Damon clenched his jaw, pulling out the chair across from Lydia and sitting down.

"I didn't think you cared that much," She admitted with a shrug.

"Lydia, I'm not exactly high on the list of people you call if you need help," Damon reminded her."So I assumed things had gone terribly terribly wrong."

"Actually, you're higher up than you think," She corrected."I got you a muffin!"

Lydia pushed the plate with the blueberry muffin over to him. He glanced down at it before he looked back at Lydia.

"Lydia, why don't you just ask me for the advice?" Damon sighed tiredly, knowing that Lydia would never get back on track if he didn't help her.

"Oh! Right!" Lydia nodded her head quickly, straightening herself in her spot and holding her hands together, placing them on the table."Okay. I need an honest opinion on something. And you're the only one I know will give it to me straight. No sugar coating. How do you think I'd be as a mom?"

Damon raised his eyebrows. Her question surprised him. He never heard Lydia talk about having kids before."Are you trying to tell me you're pregnant?"

Lydia pursed her lips and narrowed her eyes at him, annoyed by his sarcastic comment that did little to help her situation.

"I-I didn't know you wanted kids," Damon admitted.

"Because I never said I wanted them," She replied."I never said I don't either. But Kol brought it up last night and I think he wants to adopt."

"Kol wants to adopt?" Damon repeated in disbelief, checking to make sure that he heard correctly. He didn't know Kol that well, but from he did know, he didn't think Kol was the family type.
