~ the shirelles, will you still love me tomorrow?A/N: I'm not good at describing outfits so the picture is Lydia's for the chapter. Credit to all rightful owners.
Lydia was typically an early riser. She enjoyed waking up in the morning and having the whole day to look forward to. However, that was typically around eight in the morning on a day off. When she had been sleeping for at least eight hours. Not at five in the morning when she had only just fallen asleep two hours ago because Kol, Jones and a few other vampires decided to go to a club. Which meant that she was not only exhausted when her boyfriend decided to wake her up, but also a bit hungover. Or still somewhat drunk at this point. She couldn't really tell but Kol didn't seem to care as he shook her awake.
Lydia could barely open her eyes as she stared up at Kol who she could hardly see in the dim light of the room since the lights weren't on except for in the bathroom. Lydia glanced over at the clock and then looked outside to see that it was still dark outside."Why are you waking me up? Is everything alright?"
"Everything is fine," Kol responded calmly as if he hadn't just shaken her awake while it was still dark outside."I simply realized that I brought you to a house filled with vampires without teaching you how to defend yourself against one."
Lydia squinted her eyes at one, having difficulty even processing what he was saying."What? Now?"
"So we do not run into anyone wondering why I am teaching you how to kill someone with a stake," Kol said as if it were obvious meanwhile Lydia was wondering if she could even keep her eyes open."No one will be up at this hour."
"Yeah they're in bed asleep," Lydia had a feeling Kol wasn't going to let up on this."Even the animals."
"Which is why it is a perfect time to go," Kol explained with a small smile and Lydia began to wonder if he had been up this whole time since they only crashed about two hours ago and Kol wasn't behaving like someone running on that little bit of sleep."You won't be distracted by the animals which you love so much. Besides, haven't you ever heard the saying? The early bird catches the worm."
"Maybe this bird thinks getting some sleep is more important than anything else right now," Lydia mumbled as she pulled the covers off of her. She knew very well Kol wasn't going to give up on this. He never mentioned it to her before but she had a feeling he would. Physically, Lydia was pretty fit. She tried the best to maintain her health when she thought she was sick and exercising was also a way for her to release some of her energy so it helped her relax but she was more of a fitness centre person, not a training to hurt someone type person. She couldn't even kill a spider if it was in her room which was hard for her since she was scared of them.
