~ daughter, medicineWhen Caroline came to her front door that afternoon she wasn't sure what she was going to see since she hadn't invited anyone over. In fact, she was getting ready to go to Tyler's house to check on Lydia after her fight with Kol that occurred a few days ago however, the second she pulled open the front door she knew that her plans when she opened the door and saw Lydia there only she hadn't come to the door on her own. She was unconscious in Klaus' arms, with blood on her lips and she seemed rather pale. Klaus looked a bit worried himself which told Caroline that something bad must've happened for sure.
"Oh my god, what did you do to her?" Caroline immediately demanded, widening the door enough for Klaus to come. She was already invited in since she came by to speak with Caroline before she deciding to go to Tyler's house but they didn't get to speak for long. Lydia felt uncomfortable around Liz still.
"Why does everyone always assume I did something?" Klaus huffed in annoyance as he carried Lydia inside the home. He knew people didn't think the highest of him, but he at least hoped they knew he wouldn't randomly decide to hurt his brother's girlfriend. And if he did, why would he show up for help?"This occurred after she drank from the vein. She started coughing like mad, then asked me about the afterlife and passed out."
Klaus placed Lydia down on the couch gently when they entered the living room. She hadn't desiccated and still had a heartbeat so he knew she wasn't dead but she wasn't waking up and that was concerning on its own. He had never seen someone react this way to blood and while he somewhat knew what could be happening since Kol mentioned it in passing, he wasn't sure what to do or how serious it was.
"What should we do?" Caroline asked worriedly, dropping by Lydia's side and scanning her as if she would see something that was wrong with her."Have you ever seen this before?"
Klaus shook his head slowly. In a thousand years, he had come across many different situations regarding vampires, but never one like this. He never even met a psychic until now and he certainly never met one who became a vampire and was able to keep her powers but he knew that was an issue. Unlike a witch, Lydia didn't lose that side of her when she died. Instead that side was trying to rid of the vampire in her which he knew would hurt her.
"You are going to watch over her," Klaus told her firmly. He couldn't stay with Lydia at the moment."I am going to go hunt down that witch Kol visited and inform him of what happened."
"You can't leave me here with her!" Caroline exclaimed, sounding worried. It wasn't that she didn't want to watch Lydia, she just didn't understand what was going on and Klaus explained very little."What if something happens? I have no idea what to do-"
"Neither do I," Klaus interrupted her sharply. He had no clue how to help Lydia, he couldn't even say exactly what was wrong with her."None of us do. Perhaps call Stefan and see what he knows."
