"you may have been mistreated for years, but I want you to see that you are valuable, priceless," said Christine.
Tears kept flowing down Erik's face.
"I love you," he said softly as sobs shook him.
A sympathetic smile flashed across Christine's face before she rested her head on the back of the couch.
"I'm gonna take a nap," she said.
"I will too," Erik replied.
After a few minutes, Christine awoke and nudged Erik in the side. he snapped awake.
"The show will begin in a few moments, so we should get ready," Erik said, still sleepy.
"Yes, we should." Replied Christine.
Then, a loud pounding sound struck the couple's ears.
"Gaston." They thought simultaneously.
Erik quickly put his mask on.
The door was opened and the man's voice flooded the room.
"Showtime!!!"
he slowly got up from the couch.
Gaston let out a hearty chuckle as Erik collected his props.
"I'll see you both in a few minutes!" Erik called as he left the room.
"Shall we, Mademoiselle?" Gaston asked, gesturing to the open doorway.
"Certainly." Christine responded with a small smile.
