i wake up in my giant comfy bed. i stand up placing my feet on the cold hard wood floor and yawn. i step out onto my balcony, to take in the warm miami sun before going and showering. it's nearing 10:30 once i'm dressed, so i grab my macbook pro and head to the casual dining room where my teacher awaits.
jen: good morning miss connor
you: hey jen. i've told you- call me katelyn *laughs
she nods and we start working. around 11:30 i head to the kitchen where my butler, steven, is waiting.
you: heyyy
steven: hello katelyn. what would you like for lunch today?
you: surprise me *laughs
he agrees. while i wait, i turn on the tv at the counter and watch NCIS. i don't know why i like it but i do. i have a lot of free time as you can tell, so i got pretty good at guessing who the murderer is.
steven: chicken parmesan with sautéed eggplant
you: thank you
he sets it in front of me and i eat.

after school, i got dressed nicely. my dad is supposed to be home in 20 minutes. except i know what's really gonna happen. he's gonna get called into a meeting and have to cancel. we will reschedule but it will get cancelled too. i love my dad and everything he does for me but- i just wanna spend time with him. i wait for an hour and then get the call.
dad: hey kate. i'm sorry. a meeting just popped up-
you: it's good dad. i'll talk to you later.
dad: you sure?
you: mhm
dad: ok. love you kiddo.
you: love you too dad
i hang up and go back to watching NCIS. this is when i wish i really had friends. especially so i could like go shopping with them or something.
you: come here cookie!!
cookie is my puppy. why did i name her cookie? not sure. but it's cute. she's about a year old now. i got her when i was 16. she's a little chocolate lab and she's absolutely adorable. she comes running in and jumps on my bed, licking my face. i giggle and play with her for a while. then, at around midnight, i curl up and fall asleep. this is when i wished i had a boyfriend. someone to lay with me at night and make me feel less alone.
