after the delicious meal, i gave the mother 1,000 dollars. to some people it's a lot of money but for me, i just pulled it right out of my purse. i was just gonna spend it on some new shoes or something anyway. they needed it much more. the mother declined but i made her take it anyway.

she smiles
carmen: that's good. you need some friends
i laugh a bit
you: and i bought this mother and her son lunch. they were just sitting there and i heard her say they couldn't pay for food. then i just gave them a thousand bucks because i could tell they needed it
carmen: you have such a pure heart
she hugs me, and steven takes my bunches of bags to my room. once i unpack them, i lay down with cookie and decide to text josh.

we actually texted for a long time. then i heard my father enter the house. i jump out of bed and run downstairs, excited to see him. kinda like a little girl on christmas morning.
you: hey dad!
dad: hey katelyn. how was your day kiddo?
you: it was really good. i bought this mom and her son-
his phone rings. i sigh quietly. once he hangs up-
dad: i'm sorry. i have to take another call. tell me after
he kisses the top of my head and i go to my room. he's gonna be on for hours so there's no point in telling him.
