once josh comes back down i can tell he's still really embarrassed. i got over it. we are all sitting around the table eating.
dad: so. how did you meet my daughter?
josh: well u- um-
you: we met at the mall and he bought me the things i had picked out
my father nods.
dad: are you guys together?
we shake our heads no. after we eat, my dad asks me to go grab him a drink from the other kitchen. i hope he doesn't interrogate josh.
josh's pov~
katelyn just left the room and mr connor looks at me.
jordan: you really like her huh?
josh: mhm.
jordan: i can tell she really likes you too. especially after earlier
he chuckles to himself and i awkwardly laugh.
jordan: she needs someone like you around. i'm sure she's told you i'm not home much.
i nod.
jordan: just- treat her well ok? she's all i have left and i just want the best for her
josh: i will
he nods and then smiles.
jordan: how'd i do at that- scary dad thing? *laughs
josh: pretty good *laughs
jordan: good because she's never had a boyfriend so i was trying it out
we laugh. kate was right. her dad is cool. she comes back in handing her dad his drink.
