i slept over at amelies house last night. i'm actually the closest with her. she's probably my bestfriend. we get ready together and i think i look pretty good today.

amelie curls my hair because i suck at it, and we do our makeup. then we wait out on her porch for josh and blake to pick us up. josh and i are in a really good place right now i think. not dating but we kiss and stuff. so it's pretty much dating without the labels for now. they pull up and we get in the back seat.
blake: hey. guys ready?
we nod for him to go.
josh: nervous kate? you: ya. how bad is it? amelie: not hard just annoying. plus we have a lot of classes together so that's good josh: and we have bio together. we get to sit at tables of two
he smirks back at me and i laugh.
blake: we've gotta get to lunch early josh: oh ya for sure
i look at amelie confused
amelie: there's good seats and bad ones. we don't wanna be stuck by the trash because that's gross. we don't wanna be stuck by the freshmen or sophomores. there's only a few perfect tables near the trees and parking lot. they're in the shade and everything.
i nod.

school. my first day ever. nervous? hell ya. but i've got my friends. and josh. first up is bio with anthony josh and mads.
mads: let's go sit over there katelyn
i nod and follow her but am pulled back and into a chair next to josh.
josh: you can sit with anthony mads anthony: but janthony??
they have this funny bromance. all the guys do.
josh: well i would prefer jatelyn
why does this kid make me blush so damn much? anthony and mads sit at the table right behind us.

later at lunch i'm sitting with all my friends, taking and laughing. today has been really good. i'm not sure why i was so nervous. until a beautiful girl walks up.
?: hey joshy
josh rolls his eyes.
josh: hey nessa nessa: who's this?
she scoots in between josh and i. she's clearly all over him.
josh: this is katelyn
she whips her head around to look at me.
nessa: you mean katelyn connor??
i gulp a little bit. oh no. does she know who i really am?
nessa: why would you be going to some public school when your dad pays someone to come over and teach you?
how the hell does she know this?
josh: just shut up ness. you don't know what your talking about. nessa: oh really? carson why are you wearing that? i'm sure you have much more expensive clothes addison: what are you getting at ness? just leave her alone nessa: oh, you guys don't know?
this girl makes an innocent face but even though i just met her, seems like a real bitch. plus she's obviously into josh.
nessa: katelyn why haven't you told them? mads; do y'all know eachother?
i shake my head no.
nessa; quit stalling. if you won't tell them i will.
she looks at all my friends.
nessa: katelyn over here is "daddy's little rich bitch"
ouch.
nessa: she dresses down around you guys. she takes her least fancy car when she goes to meet you. her dad is jordan connor
everyone's mouths drop. they all hate me.
nessa: and i only know her because her dad fired my dad 2 weeks ago
i feel like i'm gonna cry. everyone in the cafeteria now knows about my money and my dad. god dammit!
