it's a sunday. i'm pretty bored. carmen and steven are off today. my dads at work. amelie is with her grandparents. addison and avani are on dates with anthony and bryce. jaden josh and blake are having a guys day. so ya. like i said, pretty bored. i've been laying on the couch in the movie room with cookie. we're watching random movies and eating popcorn. josh texted and said he left jadens and is coming over soon. i head down to the kitchen to get a glass of water. while i'm filling my cup, i hear the front door open.
you: hey josh
he doesn't answer. i turn and look at the door. i dross the glass of water shattering it near my feet. i stand completely still.
you: p- p- please don't s- sh- shoot
in front of me stands 4 men pointing guns at me. holy shit.
man1: don't move.
i slowly nod.
man3: stay here and watch her
the fourth man nods and continues pointing his gun at me while the other 3 men go off into my house grabbing things. i started to cry a bit.
man4: sit on the couch
i slowly walk towards the couch while the man keeps his gun pointed at me.
man4: don't get up. stay there
you: o- ok
man4: gimme your phone
i carefully reach into my back pocket grabbing my phone and handing it to him. i've watched enough NCIS to know i have to try and stay calm. it's really hard though. i'm really hoping josh doesn't come while they're here. w- what if they hurt him?? about 20 minutes later all the men are done carrying all the expensive things out of my house and into their huge van.
man2: leave her. let's go
man1: wait
he points his gun at me and i cry harder.
you: p- p- p- pleas-

i've been laying on my living room floor for 5 minutes now crying in pain. there's a bullet lodged in the lower right side of my chest restricting my breathing. cookie is laying next to me with her head on my lap while i cry. i cant move anything. my eyes are getting weary. it's getting harder and harder to breathe by the second. blood is oozing all over the floor. my whole body is numb but in terrible pain at the same time.
josh: babe where- KATELYN!!!
he sprints over and is now crying myself. before he even asks me if i'm ok he's already calling 911. my hearing was starting to get fuzzy. the next thing he does is he sits behind me pulling my head on his lap and using his hands to place pressure on my wound.
josh: k- katelyn. stay w- w- with me please. y- you can d- d- do it. your s- strong
you: j- josh
josh: i- it's ok princess. i- i'm right h- here. h- help is coming
you: i- i love you *whispers
josh: i- i love you too. s- stay with me!
my eyes couldn't take it anymore. they close as the pain spreads throughout my body.
