Scrolling through your laptop, Bela, Cassandra, and Daniela sat on your bed. Each pointed out what they wanted. You went as far as to buy Cassandra a hoodie as a peace treaty. While they weren't watching, you looked up fancy frosted wine glasses. You were specifically looking for a rose pattern, then placed your order. "Who was that for?" Cassandra placed a hand on your shoulder, looking at your screen. "Lady Dimitrescu." You mumbled, turning off your computer and stretching. Cassandra grinned, then shook you. "So, what did Uncle Heisenberg tell you?" She was trying to pry, and you knew. At the same time, it was fairly obvious they didn't get to have many people come over to hang out.

You blinked for a moment, then opened your mouth to talk. "Just some stuff. Told me to be nice to all of you." You were simplifying it, not wanting to go into detail.

It's not like they need to know.

"Of course he did. He's still overbearing with mother after the whole arm thing. You know, there was a guy named Ethan Winters, they were fighting over what to do with him. Dude tried to escape, but Uncle Heisenberg got him good. They were at each other's throats, then one day, mother and her handmaiden were in an argument about Mother Miranda's selection and then there was a loud scream. He took care of the mess after mother called Mother Miranda. It's why he has lycans prowling around this place, to make sure she's okay." Cassandra nudged your arm. "Hopefully she doesn't rip yours off either. You're not too bad, but then again, this is repayment for biting me." Cassandra pulled you in, her forearm pressing against your throat.

You stared in confusion. You heard of Ethan Winters, heard he nearly tore down the entire village to look for a baby. You shook your head a little. You unwrapped your arm, showing tiny scars. "Hopefully she doesn't. Also, what do you mean repayment for biting you? You attacked me." You stared at her, feeling her draw you in closer. "You silly mortal. Of course it's repayment. Stickers, sweaters, and even a new comforter. I forgive you for biting me." She pulled you into a hug.

"But I still don't forgive you." Cassandra whispered. "I'll fuck your mother and become your step parent. Don't try me." You whispered back. Cassandra blinked, then snarled. "You take that back-" Bela pulled Cassandra away. "That's enough. Mother will have your head as a mantle piece if you kill (Y/N). She's already grieving. Can the two of you just get along for more than 5 minutes, just when mother is around?" Bela snapped, knocking your heads together. You looked at Cassandra. "For mother's sake, yes." Cassandra mumbled. "But I still want my stuff." She added. "Your stuff will be here in a week." You sighed, rubbing your head.

Getting a lay of the castle, you explored. You didn't go into the basement however, you were forbidden from going in there. Entering the foyer, you felt a shadow looming over you. You turned around and looked up, seeing Lady Dimitrescu. "Oh, it's you." You tried to sound kind, but you were scared. You watched her expression change to a small smile. Seeing her fangs brought a chill to your blood. You felt her hand go over your forearm, then slide to your hand. "I'm sorry, I should know better than to grab you like that." She sounded as though she had a million things going on in her head. "It's okay. It happens." You grinned back, then you picked up on what Heisenberg had told you.

The way she looks at me?

You looked into her eyes. Normally, you saw how she looked at her daughters, adoration and pride. You tried to dig deeper into her gaze, clouded by worry. Past the fog of worry, you saw what Heisenberg was talking about. Was that lust, or was that hunger? Love? Curiously romantic? You blinked, then watched her turn your arm over. The marks she had left on your arm. "I'll be assigning you as a personal servant, but you will have to go through some training. The girls seem to like you, so let's hope they don't try to turn you into a meal." She spoke, making your eyes go from the marks on your arm to her. You were trying to pick up on her tone, then she let go of your hand. "And hopefully nothing bad happens to you on the job. You will still be in your own room."

I want to help you, but I don't know how.
