Bela checked on her beetles, smiling and taking care of the new eggs. She checked on Blitz, eyes wide with sadness. "Mother!" She cried out, choking back a sob. "Mother! Blitz is dead!" She screamed out, gently picking up her favorite beetle. "At least you got to see your wife one last time." Bela whispered. She headed outside, the moon rising. Going to the garden and finding a good spot, Bela began to bury her old friend. Daniela had followed Bela's voice, placing a hand on her shoulder. "I'm sorry. I knew how much you cared for Blitz. He was an amazing beetle, the best of us all." Bela nodded to Daniela's words, taking a deep breath. "I think it's an omen." Cassandra's voice filled the air, a flurry of insects morphing into a human body.

Bela rolled her eyes, feeling Daniela give her a hug. "Cassandra, right now isn't the time to be cryptic. Bela just lost her bestest friend in the whole world." Daniela hissed, rubbing Bela's back. "Blitz was a good man. He listened well and he was a great father and a good lover. He enjoyed being held and is the only man mother loved." Daniela whispered to Bela, pulling her into a tight hug. "May he rest in peace and may his legacy be told for generations." Cassandra added, joining in on the hug.

The three left after making a makeshift tombstone for Blitz, a series of rocks stacked upon each other to mark his location. "Long may he reign, King Blitz of Stag Beetles." Daniela called out, waving goodbye to the grave. Bela clung to her sisters, soaking in the affection and remorse. Coming into the castle, Bela went straight to her mother's room, seeing you and her mother cuddling and watching movies. Alcina looked up, the two of you offering a spot. Bela climbed onto the bed, sobbing into her mother's shoulder as you hugged her. "I'm sorry, honey. Would you like to watch some movies with us?" She offered. Bela nodded, curling up and watching what you had playing.

Bela soon fell asleep, worn out from crying. She dreamed of seeing Blitz one last time, getting to say goodbye. She remembered every moment. The day she found him in the woods as a larvae, the day she did research and fed the right stuff, and the day she found him a friend.

"You'll always be the best man, Blitz. You're the only man I cared for. Even if you're just a beetle."
