Chapter 9

Cassandra wandered through the halls, tired and listening to the whispers of her insects to keep her informed of what was happening behind her. Going to her room, she read the letter again.

Who does (Y/N) think they are? Leaving a note like this?

Cassandra tightened her grip on the paper. This was not a battle of tooth and claw anymore. This was a battle of will and fist. Her insects turning to a storm, Cassandra found her way to you. She watched you clean her mother's room, being so precise you could sand the wooden floors with a pair of tweezers.

Maybe I should teach you a lesson.

Cassandra snuck towards you, placing her hands on your shoulders.

Why you shouldn't have came here, and why sucking up to me is not the best idea.

She threw you towards the floor, straddling your abdomen and placing her hands on your throat. She watched you struggle, placing your hands on her wrists to push away. Cassandra tightened her grip, feeling your heartbeat around her digits. "I'll savor this moment." She whispered, feeling her mouth water. "I'll eat you..." Her teeth ached to sink into flesh.

I'll eat you, right here, right now...

Cassandra realized she was drooling when she saw a couple drops of saliva on your face.

Just one bite and it'll end it all!

Cassandra felt her fangs ache, her tongue yearning for your taste. She opened her mouth, inching closer. Her mind replacing your image with that of a rabbit, her mouth just inches from your neck.

Give it to me.

It would have been easy, if she hadn't gotten caught. Falling to the floor, she watched her prey, you, run away out the door. "You know better than to attack (Y/N)." Daniela hissed, keeping a foot on Cassandra's chest. "It was all in good fun!" Cassandra tried to push Daniela off, but was immediately shoved back down. "If mother finds out you tried to kill the one person trying to be there for her that isn't us, then she will turn you into lycan food. Mother has been in a better mood lately and her gifts are supposed to be brought to her today, and what did you have mind? Showing up with the partial eaten carcass?" Daniela applied more pressure to Cassandra's chest, staring.

"You think you're the perfect vampire? I saw you attempting to nibble (Y/N) ears in their sleep." Cassandra forced Daniela's foot off her, getting up. "Neither of us are in the right. I at least followed what I am meant to do." Cassandra gave Daniela a slight punch to the stomach. "You're just as bad as me."

Cassandra ran to your room, checking if the box was there. You had already taken her mother's gift to her. "That was your first thought, or are you just that desperate to get on her good side?" She muttered.

Coming downstairs for dinner, she saw her mother holding your chin up, checking the bruises around your neck. She felt her mother's stare burn through her soul, shame washing over her. "It won't happen again." Cassandra mumbled, staring at you.
