You were running for your life, running through the woods as you heard the all too familiar growl. Your left hand was missing digits, she had attacked you. You looked back, seeing Alcina's golden eyes peering at you from the woods. She was hunting you down, blood dripping from her chin and her speed unmatched. She gripped your shoulder and hair, her fangs coated in your blood and drool as she finally had her claws on you. "Alci! It's me!" You cried out, but only got a deep growl of hunger in response.
Pushing Lady Dimitrescu away, your strength was merely a drop in the bucket to her incredible strength as you tried to push her away from your neck. Her claws went through your abdomen, ripping away intestines and other organs as she latched her jaws around your neck. Shaking you around like a toy, you managed to get free after punching her throat and scurried away. Just as you managed to crawl away, Alcina grabbed your ankles, pinning you to the ground. Was this the last thing you'd see? Her sharp fangs and eyes filled with a primal need to hunt and mutilate her prey? Just as you felt her fangs sink into your neck and pull, you awoke with a harsh jolt and scrambled to sit up. Fighting the blanket and taking deep breaths, you looked around. Alcina was sitting at her vanity in her nightgown. "Did you have a nightmare?" She asked, turning to face you. You shook your head, taking a deep breath. "No, I just... It was just a bad dream, not a nightmare." You shook your shiver away, checking your stomach and hands. It felt too real, way too real.
You gently placed a hand over your mouth, running to the bathroom and throwing up. You felt Lady Dimitrescu place a hand on your back, concerned. "Are you okay?" She asked, rubbing your back. "I'm fine. It was just... A really really bad dream."
You could feel Alcina's doubt, but she took it. You flushed the toilet and brushed your teeth and tongue, taking a deep breath to try and stay relaxed.
It was just a nightmare. Alci would never hurt me on purpose. She uses her fangs lovingly, not for pain.
You stood beside Lady Dimitrescu, feeling her place a kiss on your cheek. "How are you feeling?" She asked, studying your gaze. "I'm fine. I didn't expect myself to vomit like that." You admitted, giving into her hug as she pulled you close. "Hopefully you don't have any more nightmares. You were fidgeting badly in your sleep, kicking even." She patted you on the head and had you sit on the bed. "It wasn't-" "If you were damn near screaming in your sleep, it's a nightmare." She hissed, her expression softening. "I'm glad I washed that pollen off of you. You were absolutely coated." She muttered, Aspen coming up to the bed and jumping up.
You ran your fingers through Aspen's coat, then looked over. "What was the nightmare about?" She asked, looking over to you. "You had attacked me and started to devour me in the woods." You spoke of it as though it were nothing, but could feel Alcina's sadness radiating off of her. "Alci, you don't have to be upset. I told you, I wouldn't mind." You looked over, then got an idea. "How about we go on a date tomorrow, in the woods. We can have a picnic. Get your mind off things and the woods has plenty of shade from the sun!" You saw her brighten a little. "Just us?"
"Just us."
