You guided your parents to the dining room, your cousin too enthralled by Cassandra, Bela, and Daniela. You hoped that leaving them unsupervised would be a good choice as the chaos would be insurmountable. On the way to the dining room as Lady Dimitrescu had your grandmother choose which wine to use for the dinner. Your father caught up to you, giving you a wink. "So, uh. She has nice tits. What's the big booba vampire lady's name?" He commented, warranting a glare from you. "Don't you dare ever make a comment about her body again. We are guests, (F/N)." Your mother hissed, catching onto your embarrassment and anger. "And her name isn't big booba vampire lady, her name is Lady Alcina Dimitrescu." You growled protectively, her name sweet on your tongue at the slightest thought of giving her a kiss.
You helped your parents be seated, telling them where your daughters sat and where you and your wife sat. Wait- your daughters? Wife? It just now struck you that the words slipped your tongue. "I don't see a ring on your finger." Your mother looked at you, then she turned to slight shock. "You're going to propose to her, aren't you?" She asked, her voice suddenly louder. You shook your hands, panicking. "Shhh! SHHHH!! Shush! She doesn't even know I have a ring for her yet! Keep your voice down!" You hissed quietly, face turning red. "You have a ring for her?" She whispered, her expression unreadable.
Could you be any louder!? She's down those stairs, how about you tell the whole damn world while you're at it (M/N)!!
You carefully snuck the ring box out of your pocket, always having it on you. You showed your mother the ring, looking around to make sure Lady Dimitrescu didn't come up the cellar stairs. "Oh that's so pretty! And it looks expensive, where did you get the money to buy a ring like that? That ring must cost millions!" She whispered. You closed the box and hid it in your pocket as your grandmother came up the stairs. "(Y/N), you didn't tell me you married a countess!" Your grandmother held a bottle of wine, eyes wide with excitement. You looked up at Lady Dimitrescu, noticing she said the same thing by accident. "Not married yet, but soon!" You gave a shy smile, your grandmother pinching your cheek. "You better marry her soon, you can't let this one slip between your fingers." You smiled in both pain and awkwardness, glancing up at Lady Dimitrescu.
I think she's worried about me slipping through her fingers.
You sat beside Lady Dimitrescu, gently grasping her trembling hand under the table. Then, your youngest cousin came in with Bela, Cassandra, and Daniela. You blinked a couple of times. "You shaved half of her head?" You asked, almost hissing quietly. "It was either that or she screamed because she wanted to look like us." Bela whispered, giving an anxious shrug. "At least she's happy." You mumbled.
The dinner went smoothly, but something came over you as you noticed your father glancing to you and Lady Dimitrescu. You didn't even notice you bent the fork until Lady Dimitrescu gave your hand a squeeze.
Don't you ever make such a glance to her again. She is mine. Alcina Dimitrescu is my wife! You can't have her, I'll give her my flesh a hundred times over to prove she's mine.
