Donna shook her head a little, trying to block out Mother Miranda's voice. Of course Mother Miranda wanted to get her hands on you, you could sway anyone with just a smile and batting your lashes. Her heart swelled thinking about the kiss, then dropped when she remembered you belonged to Lady Dimitrescu. Her fists clenched, knuckles turning white. Surely you had to have second thoughts, she attacked you, she nearly killed you. You admitted to her about your fears, and yet when you kissed her she saw the look of disappointment in your eyes when you pulled away, like something was missing. Donna got lost in thought, processing what Lady Dimitrescu could have that you were seeking in that kiss. Fangs? Donna knew she didn't have fangs, but she could put on the illusion of fangs and make it feel just as real.
Then, a loud banging on the door and your voice. "Alci, don't hurt her! She's a lonely woman, just say what you have to say and please don't hurt her!" It was your voice and it sounded like you were out of breath. Had you chased down her carriage in the middle of the night? It was dangerous to do that, let alone without protection you could've been lycan food or ghoul food. Donna turned out the lights, letting the door unlock before she went into hiding. If Lady Dimitrescu was this mad, she could be dead.
She watched from a hidden place, listening and using her pollen to hide her presence. Hearing you two argue about whether or not she deserved punishment over a kiss. Donna's heart swelled as she heard you take her place. It was only a few seconds until Lady Dimitrescu started to search the house. The moon was large in the sky, red as well. It was unusual for February, but it was a well lit night. The arguing continued, then a loud yelp and tumbling down the stairs. You scrambled up from the floor, breaking into a run for the door as she noticed. Long scars across your face and your arm, it was obvious your arm was now broken from the fall. It was remarkable how quickly you got up, like a rabbit running from a wolf.
Donna shrunk in her hiding place, hearing Lady Dimitrescu's tone change to panic and worry. Lady Dimitrescu caught sight of her, her worried gaze turning to anger. "You!" She growled, then Donna broke into a run after you as you ran into the woods. She could try to pinpoint where you went, the blood on the ground was some kind of indicator as to what your trail was. However, she lacked the vampiric sense of smell or the proper vision for the dark. She could feel Lady Dimitrescu on her heels, so she did the one thing she could. Donna hid amongst a thicket of bushes, the smell was intense as she turned around and could see a few lycans ripping apart a deer. Placing her hand over her mouth, she silenced her panting, watching Lady Dimitrescu run past her. The lycans scurried off once they saw Lady Dimitrescu, thinking she was there to take their prey.
Donna snuck out of the thicket, looking for you. Lady Dimitrescu was on the hunt for her, but she had a faint idea as to where you could be. Making her way to Mother Miranda's church, she crawled in and spotted you in the corner. Your gaze was full of terror, eyes massive and body trembling. Donna gently put her hand out, her voice a soft tone as she tried to get you to have enough trust to get you help. Then, you placed your hand out. "Let's get you to a medic." Donna whispered, seeing you nod. She got a faint glance at two golden orbs from across the room in the darkest shadows, but she felt one thing in her mind.
I win.
