Packing bags to take a small vacation to the cottage, it had become obvious that the girls were tired of being cooped up in the castle, wanting a different pace. You hauled suitcases out to one of the carriages, even bringing snacks for your daughters' carriage. Chips, cereal, dried meats, dried fruit, fruit cups, and a few bottles of water and blood. You made sure to write names on the bottles, not wanting Estella to accidentally drink blood.

It's been two days since the meeting, two days since seeing Donna. That's good.

As you put everything in their respective areas and decorated the inside of the carriage, you put blankets and pillows on the seats and put a few fully charged tablets on the seats to keep Bela, Cassandra, Daniela, and Estella all entertained. "Don't you think you're spoiling them?" Alcina asked, making you jump. "Mmmm no." You straightened out a pillow, smiling. "They're going to be very happy with this. Is... Is that a mini ac unit hanging up there?" Alcina pointed to the tiny cube, you giving a big grin. "It's hot out, they shouldn't bake in the carriage." You explained, then brought Alcina over to your shared carriage.

You wanted Alcina to be just as pampered, going as far as to supply vials of your own blood and a portable battery powered mini fridge under one of the seats. Alcina stared at the carriage, then slowly looked back at you. "We're just going to the cottage." She giggled, making you cross your arms. "It's a long drive to the cottage!"

Just as you managed to get everyone in their proper places and you hopped in with Alcina, Aspen managed to jump on with the girls, leaving just you and Alcina in your carriage. "You truly have outdone yourself, love. This is the life." Alcina relaxed on the seat, smiling. Before you could close the door, Mia jumped in. "I have a bad feeling that something is going to happen." Mia whispered, sitting beside you. You gave a soft sigh, wanting to have spent the ride with just Alcina. "I know you enjoy your alone time with Alcina, but something is coming, I can feel it." Mia tried to reason. You sat beside Alcina, letting Mia have the other side.

Feeling the carriages begin to move and leave the estate, you leaned against Alcina and gave a small smile upon hearing her steady heartbeat. "I love you." You mumbled, gently grabbing Alcina's hand. "I love you too." Alcina purred, pulling you close. You didn't pay Mia any mind, but could see in the corner of your eye that she was smiling.

It had only been an hour into the ride until the carriages were forced to stop. You looked up from your phone, putting it down and looking outside. It was just a couple of lycans, but then a couple turned to 4 and then 10. You looked around, seeing the largest lycan. It had to be about 6 or 7 feet tall, it's physique that of a gladiator. You got close to Alcina, feeling fear ripple through you. Her hand protectively pressed against you, her claws poking out slightly. "What is the meaning of this?" She hissed quietly, drawing you closer.

You saw the largest lycan giving orders, then they started to circle the carriages. You pressed your face to Alcina's side, shaking in fear as they continued to circle. Surely the girls could protect themselves and Estella, but you were practically defenseless, having only Alcina and Mia.

You looked up, feeling something pry you away from Alcina. You could hear gunshots and your wife's thunderous growl, but you were now on the ground, being dragged away. You squirmed and screamed, kicking and thrashing. These lycans were not going to take you from your love, from your family. You managed to get loose, scrambling towards the carriage as Mia ran towards you. Just as you managed to reach her hand, the largest lycan snatched you away. You let out the loudest scream you could, thrashing and punching the lycan. "Stop squirming." He growled, throwing you into the ground. You began to crawl away, seeing Alcina running towards you. The lycan looked back, striking you over the head. You felt darkness waft over you, hearing Alcina's footsteps get closer and closer, then further and further away. You could hear gunshots, but didn't feel Alcina's soft yet strong hands.

Alcina, help me!

It wasn't until you woke up that you saw that you had been chained up in a cave by a desk. You looked around, noticing the large lycan that had taken you. "There's no use in trying to escape, your little friend told me that you're quite the escape artist. No vampire to save you now." He grunted, his breath rancid. You shivered in your place, letting out a loud scream, until the lycan smacked you. "Your wife can't hear you. You'll be staying here until your friend can pick you up." The lycan growled. You shook your head, looking around frantically. Surely Alcina would find you at some point. She had to.

"Your friend Donna will be here in a couple of days. In the meantime, let's see if you can even escape your chains."
