Alcina gently wrapped a jacket around you, running her thumb on your cheek as she took notice of the wet steaks that stained your face. You were crying, she thought. Her heart ached at the sight of your puffy eyes and slightly quivering lip. You were crying because of me.

Gently letting go of your face, she let you say goodbye to your shared daughters, hearing you whisper to Estella. "You have to be brave, Estella. If you're ever scared, remind yourself that you are Estella Dimitrescu, brave daughter of the countess." You whispered. Alcina gave a small smile, leaving the castle with you. She felt her heart overflow with love as she felt your hand in hers. I know we should probably be in a carriage, but walking felt like a good choice.

---

You could feel your heart racing, matching Alcina's walking pace, counting how many steps it took. 1 step, 2 steps, 1 step, 2 steps… You had gotten faster, far faster than you thought you'd be. The sky had many stars, the sun setting and the harvest moon rising. The red tint felt strangely warm, but you understood what must happen tonight. Either you found a way to quell your desire for my flesh, or we'll dance the dance of death, my sweet wolf. You looked up meeting her gaze. Her golden irises like orbs floating. You recognized those orbs in your dreams.

Finding the spot in the woods Alcina had chosen, you helped lay out a blanket and sat beside Alcina. You leaned against the gnarly trees, leaves just barely clinging to their branches. The harvest moon above coated the world in red and darkness. As you looked over to Alcina, her eyes held hunger and love, something that was sometimes confusing, but they were two very different emotions in her gaze.

---

Alcina didn't even try to pull away as you gave her a kiss, feeling her fangs ache to rip flesh. The taste of your tears and lips reminded Alcina of every kiss before, savoring her possible last kiss with you. I love you, Alcina thought to herself as you pulled away, I love you so much.

Looking inside the basket, she felt a shiver run up her spine. How did I get like this? How did I become so scared of everything? Alcina asked herself, looking up to you as she moved the basket away. You know what must happen, my dear rabbit.

I love you.

She gave you her hand, feeling you extend a claw like many times before. Alcina fought her urge to chase after you, giving you one last kiss. "I'll give you five minutes to run away, start a new life." Alcina whispered, fighting everything in her body to not attack you. "I'm not going anywhere." Alcina choked back a sob, tears running down her face. "As the Countess of Castle Dimitrescu, I order you as a maiden to run away." Alcina choked out, trying to hold onto the dwindling confidence she had. Run, please. I need you to run away.

---

You pulled Alcina into a hug, a dread filling you as Alcina gently placed her hands on you and forced you off her, forcing you to your feet. "Act like it was our first time meeting. Do what that (Y/N) would've done." Alcina ordered. Run. You put yourself into the mentality of that misty April morning, breaking into a run. As you ran, you could practically feel her breath on your heels. You couldn't stay in the mentality of that April morning, but the thought of Mia, Donna, everyone you once knew, everyone waiting on the other side for you made you stop in your tracks. I'll always love you. You turned to face Alcina, feeling her tackle you. Death will never part us.

---

Alcina felt your shivering form in her arms, drool dripping from her lips like a starving dog. She left this night to bathe in the blood of her enemies, but right now, she wanted to spend just this chance with you, letting you see her true self. Your hot breath made her arm wet, her hands snaking slowly to your arms. Will you enjoy this night with me? Alcina could hear you whisper, opening her mouth to take in more air. "I love you." Your voice made Alcina's heart throb in pain, ripping away your jacket as she wanted to feel your flesh with her bare fingers. You smell heavenly, Alcina thought to herself, the growing hunger for your succulent flesh driving her mad. However, she had to savor this meal. Blood and flesh so delicious should be savored as though it's the last.

She could hear the voice, her instincts, just behind her, moving her arms with natural strokes as she made you look up at her. How you leaned into her touch, your skin almost felt like fire to her. Alone in the woods, a rabbit and a wolf. She just had to find the will to let loose. "Will you ever forgive me?" Alcina asked, resting her forehead against yours, wanting your final response before she struck. "My love, I've forgiven you the moment I set eyes upon you for the first time."

Her fangs pierced flesh, but you didn't scream. Alcina listened to every whimper, every pained gasp as she bit into your shoulder, unable to find the strength to rip away. However, with one squirm and she felt her whole world crumble into a fit of madness, your blood like candy to her tongue as she gnawed at your delectable body. You never screamed, but in your final breaths, Alcina heard you whisper. I love you too, Alcina closed her eyes, tears running down her face as she took everything from you in a cruel dance of life and death. She didn't let any blood go to waste, lapping up every drop and tearing into your muscles. Every place she touched, memories of where she kissed you, memories of her time with you.

Painful, cruel memories of your loving smile, your wedding day, your first kiss, first meeting you. Alcina felt the harvest moon bathe her red, like the blood she stole from you, the life she stole from you. Every bite was painful, sobs echoing into the dark cold forest. Even in your time of death, you still wore our wedding ring. Alcina took the ring, having something of you to always remember by. Bitter sinew and candy-like flesh torn and eaten, Alcina felt her urge slowly dwindle away.

It had been hours, Alcina seeing the smile on your lips still upturned. When she had consumed all of your flesh, all that remained were your perfectly cleaned bones, Alcina sobbing as the full reality of what she had done crashed down on her, remembering Moreau's words. She should've forgiven herself, then perhaps you wouldn't have had to give up so much. Memories of you, the way you said her name with so much love, how you extended one of her claws, your kiss. She would never get to kiss you again, wishing she had savored the kiss more.

The moon hung high in the sky, the red light bathing her in all her agony. Handmarks where you pulled her closer, dappled on her neck and chest were your kisses, encouragement to fulfill the natural order of predator and prey, wolf and rabbit, vampire and human.

Bringing your bones to the blanket, Alcina quietly paid her respects, tucking your bones gently into the basket. The walk to the castle was slow, painful, and quiet. Quickly looking back as she heard your giggle, Alcina felt her heart race and ache. The forest was left behind, but everywhere Alcina walked, she could feel your presence. She could hear you skipping along beside her, asking her questions. However, she knew you weren't physically there, you were dead. If you are to haunt me, then please never let me forget you. Alcina looked up at the moon, hoping it heard her plea. The stars had never been so bright.

As Alcina came to the castle, she took you to the place she knew you liked. Burying your bones in the courtyard, a plaque marking your grave. Alcina ran her fingers over the engravings, sniffling as she read what it said.

(Y/N) (Last Name)-Dimitrescu
(Birth Day) - September 10, 2022.
Loving parent and devoted spouse. Loved by many, remembered by all.
Aici zac oasele iubitului iepure al doamnei Alcina Dimitrescu, soția ei iubită.

Alcina gently ran a finger over the plaque, sobbing and placing flowers over the freshly moved ground. She didn't care if her dress got dirty. She just wanted you back.
