Eclipse got the bags into the carriage, Cassandra joining in to help fit bags under the seats and get snacks in. "Thank you for helping me, Lady Cassandra." She chirped, smiling. She felt her heart flutter, seeing Cassandra's shy smile. "No problem, you can just call me Cassandra. I should head inside now, the sun is starting to hurt." She spoke softly and made her way to the interior of the castle. Eclipse smiled, following behind her. Bela and Daniela were keeping a tight eye on their mother, a shiver running up Eclipse's spine as she saw her stare.
You look at people like a starving lion. It's unsettling, my lady.
Eclipse found Cassandra picking up her passed out sister, carrying her to the carriage. "Did Lady Estella find Lady Dimitrescu's melatonin gummies?" Eclipse asked, worried. "She did, and you don't have to use the Lady title. You're liked enough to not use the title." Cassandra gave a soft laugh, walking towards the carriage.
Who will be in (Y/N) and Alcina's carriage? Mia isn't here to protect (Y/N) if she attacks them.
Eclipse felt Cassandra tug on her arm, bringing her into the carriage. Sitting on the seat across from Cassandra, Eclipse gave a small smile. "Who will be riding with your parents?" Eclipse quietly asked. "I don't know. I think they'll give (Y/N) a tranquilizer to knock her out if Mother goes to attack." Cassandra spoke quietly, stress in her voice. Eclipse perked a little when she heard Cassandra mumble something under her breath.
Who?
Tilting her head, she saw Cassandra catch on. "Oh, I said, I hope she doesn't do what she did to Moira. Moira was her handmaiden before she passed away." Cassandra spoke softly, a deep sigh leaving her. Eclipse gave a nod, gently placing a hand over hers. "(Y/N) has four beautiful daughters to make sure nothing bad happens to them. One of them I adore." Eclipse chirped, gently pinching Cassandra's cheek.
Cassandra pulled away, her face a deep red. She looked away, Eclipse giving a soft laugh. Just as Cassandra looked back over, Bela and Daniela came into the carriage with more snacks and a few electronics. "We gave (Y/N) some tranquilizers and we had mother take a few of her melatonin gummies to sedate her. If she goes into the attack, it just takes one tranquilizer to knock her out." Daniela explained, leaning back into the corner and putting in earbuds. "Nobody talk to me, it's Bojack time." Eclipse nodded to Daniela's words, Bela holding a little terrarium with a stag beetle larvae inside in the shade.
This is going to be a quiet ride. At least I have Cassandra.
For the few hours, Bela occasionally checked up on their parents, giving small updates. "They're talking, (Y/N) looks happy." Bela called out, everyone giving a thumbs up. Eclipse played several games with Cassandra, tic-tac-toe, hangman, battleship, squares. Paper games.
You're good at this, Cassandra.
As the carriages stopped at the cottage, Eclipse got out and helped bring in bags. She noticed you nor Alcina got out your shared carriage. Getting the bags into the cottage and opening the carriage door, she quickly shut it. Her face turned a bright red. Soon, the door opened again, Alcina's lipstick smudged on your lips. "I am so sorry, I should've knocked." Eclipse squeaked out, grabbing bags and running into the cottage. She heard you laugh, making her blush worse.
As the bags got in and the sun was setting, Eclipse got everyone tucked in, except for you and Alcina. She got comfortable on the couch with a soft pillow, falling asleep as she felt a blanket go over her.
The next morning, Eclipse got up at the smell of cooking. She noticed you were making breakfast. Pancakes, eggs, sausage, bacon, hashbrowns, and bagels being toasted. It warmed Eclipse's heart that you knew how your daughters liked their food. Everything bagel with bacon, fried egg, and cheese for Cassandra. Sesame bagel with a sausage patty, circular scrambled egg, and crispy hashbrowns for Bela. Plain bagel, lightly buttered with a bit of cinnamon, eggs, bacon, pancakes, and hashbrowns on the side for Daniela. For Estella, you made her a standard breakfast as Estella was telling you what she wanted, a standard breakfast.
Eclipse slipped off the couch, Estella handing her a plate. "They made everyone breakfast." She chirped. She gave a smile, sitting at the table and eating. The other three daughters came out of the room, tired. Soon, they perked up when they saw food and went to the table. Eclipse took notice that you made Alcina's plate and brought it to her, but didn't make yourself any food. "(Y/N), you didn't make yourself any food." Eclipse pointed out. "I'll be okay!" You chirped, giving a smile.
That smile was fake. I know how you smile. Something is up.
After Eclipse finished her food, she took a glimpse into the bedroom, finding Alcina knocked out from a tranquilizer and slowly waking up. "How long have I been out?" Alcina mumbled, taking a sip of water for her dry mouth. "Only for the night. You were playfully nibbling my ear, then you hit yourself with the tranquilizer." Eclipse recognized that tone you had. Sadness. "You didn't have to tranquilize yourself for being playful." You whimpered out, handing her the plate. "My sweet rabbit, if I didn't, I would've hurt you." Alcina's voice dripped with sadness, her thumb hesitantly wiping away tears.
It's getting harder for the both of you.
