Peeta POV- (The next morning)
As I wake up, I look over to see that the time is already 10am.
I try and try to wake up my sleeping wife but her stubbornness doesn't allow it to happen.
I sit up on my elbow and wrap my arm around Katniss's waist, my face against hers.
"Katniss, it's 10:30. We should probably get going." I murmur in her ear.
She doesn't budge so I begin planting kisses up and down her cheek and then to her shoulder and down her arm. She groans out something inaudible as she turns onto her stomach, burying her face into the pillow.
"Katniss..." I whine with a smile.
She still doesn't move a muscle or show any signs of waking soon.
"What." Katniss whines back.
I hide the widest smile, "We need to get going, we slept way longer than we probably should've."
"But it's our honeymoon, Peeta."
"And...?" I ask, not seeing the point.
She lifts her head up, her wild hair sticking out in every direction, "We should be able to do what we want, when we want and I want to sleep."
I let out a laugh, "Okay, Sweetheart." I give into her and with that she drops her head and is no doubt already fast asleep.
I do see her point.
We are on our honey moon.
We should be able to do anything we want without a schedule or within a specific time period.
I lay back down, flat and just stare at the white ceiling of the hotel room.
Just thinking about everything.
I smile as I think about how far we've come, and as I think about my grumpy, stubborn, sleep-loving Katniss.
Eventually, I fall back to sleep with a smile spread across my face and the warmth of my own body and Katniss's radiating heat under the blankets.
Katniss POV- (A few hours later)
"Peeta!" I jump onto Peeta's reposed body as a small child might.
His blue eyes open barely and he groans, "What?" He asks, trying not be impatient.
"I'm awake now!" I say happily, this makes him smile softly.
"Okay...?" He says, his eyes closed.
I smile and bring my lips down to his, "And I love you." I tell him.
I reach down taking his warm hand in my own, "I love you too." He smiles sleepily.
"You're so cute, Peeta." I say, my heart about to burst.
Peeta yawns, "Thanks. What time is it now?" He asks.
I turn my head to see the clock that reads 1:37pm.
My eyes widen, "Almost two." I inform him.
"Alright, well, we won't get very far today." Peeta says, sitting up a little bit, my body still on his.
I shrug, "I'm sorry." I say, knowing this was my fault.
I feel guilty.
Peeta drives when we go on trips and I don't and I slept in instead of leaving when he wanted.
"It's okay, you need all the sleep you can get, especially while you're not having nightmares." He says sympathetically.
I give him a sad but grateful smile, "Thank you." I squeeze his hand.
