Katniss POV- (About a week later, May 27th)

Bristol and Carter moved to District Ten yesterday and I would say that I'm okay, but I would be lying.

"Katniss. Are you alright?" Peeta asks, setting a hand on my shoulder from behind.

I look up, "No." I say softly, wanting to cry.

I know they're just a few Districts away and it's not like they're dead or anything, I shouldn't be as sad as I am.

Peeta frowns and sits down next to me, he wraps his arms around me and kisses my forehead.

"I miss them so much already, Peeta."

"I know you do but how about this? We let them get all settled down and give us some time to settle back into our old life and I say we go visit them in Ten in a few weeks." Peeta suggests.

I nod my head, "I just wish she would've stayed instead of running away."

"I wish she would have too but there was no convincing her."

"The house was hers and she had us to watch Carter so she could get a job and everything was set and she just left."

"She misses her family a lot though."

I shrug and lean my head on his shoulder.

He frowns again, "Katniss, I miss them too but them moving will probably be better for both of the girls. Bristol is near her family now and Carter is gonna actually get to grow up by her grandparents."

"But we are their family too, Peeta." I choke out.

He rubs my arm and rocks me back and forth.

"I know but look at the bright side. We get more time together now."

I get out of his grasp.

I snap, "How could you say that?" I ask him defensively, even though I know it was something meant to be harmless.

"I love the girls but we never got to have a life to ourselves since they moved to Twelve. Now maybe we can get our love life back on track. I'm not trying to sound like a jerk." Peeta says.

"What do you mean our love life, Peeta?" I ask him, sniffling.

"I meant we rarely just kiss each other anymore. We barely have time to do anything together."

"I call bullshit on that, Peeta. You and I have a lot of time together." I say back.

"Katniss, do you not understand what I mean?" He scoffs.

"I know exactly what you mean, Peeta. But I think you should've waited a little longer to tell me that."

"I'm sorry. I just miss you a lot, Katniss. I miss us." Peeta says looking down.

"Peeta, we've been together. What is wrong?" I ask him.

"Remember when you told me to tell you if I felt like I wasn't getting enough attention that I needed to tell you?"

I frown, "Yes."

"Okay, well maybe I feel like that now."

I shake my head, "And do you remember how you said they were our friends and you didn't mind helping them out?" I say defensively back.

"I don't mind it, Katniss. But there comes a point when I feel like we don't even get to have a life anymore."

I shake my head, "Well, there gone so we can go back to doing nothing like we did before."
