Katniss POV- (About 5am)

"Peeta, lay down. I got him." I say as I hear Finn wailing from his bedroom. He nods his head sleepily and lays back down.

I rush into Finn's bright green bedroom and see him there. I lean down and scoop him up in my arms.

"Hey, Buddy. You're okay. Let's go get you a bottle." I say, rubbing his cheek with my thumb.

He smiles a little sleepily and calms down tremendously.

I sneak into the kitchen, warming him up a bottle. A minute later, it's done and I meet Finnick in the living room.

"Katniss." Finnick smiles tiredly as I walk into the living room, shocked to see him.

"Finnick." I say smiling.

"You want me to take him?"

I shake my head, "No, I'm fine. You go back to bed."

"No, I'm wide awake. Let's just talk, little sis." He winks.

I smirk, "Okay." I say, sitting down next to him, Finn half asleep in my arms.

"How is everything? You have barely talked to me since you got here."

I shrug, "It's fine. Just been crazy lately. I'm ready for it to slow down and get better."

"I understand. Is Peeta okay?"

"Yeah, I think so. Just tired like the rest of us."

Finnick nods and leans over, "Don't get mad at me but you know, he really wants a baby." He mumbles in my ear.

I scoff, "I know he does."

"When?"

"I don't know. It has caused a lot of fights between us."

"Because you don't want them?"

I shake my head, "No, I just am scared. I don't want them taken away from me like Prim was."

He frowns, "He won't let that happen."

"I know he wouldn't. I'm just trying to decide my thoughts on it. Besides, we've only been married 4 months, I want to wait longer."

He laughs, "I got Annie pregnant after like three months."

I laugh, "But look what came out of that." I say, looking down at an empty bottle and a sleeping baby.

Finnick smiles, "Exactly. What are you so afraid of?"

"I don't know. Partly that something would happen to them and partly because I don't know how I feel. I mean Finn, he's a part of you and a part of Annie. He's perfect and he's so sweet, just beautiful and I love him. I'm afraid of falling in love again, I guess." I tell him honestly.

Finnick chuckles a little, "He's pretty charming isn't he?"

I laugh, "Yeah, he is. It's hard for me to imagine what our baby would look like and how it would act. They come into this world and we are all strangers, it's like we are unfamiliar and it's just weird to think about. I don't know how to explain it. And I guess it's that I can't imagine how beautiful any child of Peeta's would be. I mean look at Finnick Odair's offspring, imagine Peeta's." I laugh, giving Finnick's ego a tease.

"Ha ha." Finnick says, shaking his head, a huge grin spread across his face.

My smile fades and I stare at the wall and silence takes over.

"I know what you mean, but I promise you it is the best gift you could ever give Peeta. And yourself. Just one. It wouldn't have to be more than one to make you both happy for the rest of your lives."
