Katniss POV- (At the hospital, around 7am)

"Kat!" I hear Finnick call from the waiting room.

He has tired eyes.

Peeta and I turn around to see Finnick running up to us, "Hey, Finnick." I say sleepily, embracing him.

"Katniss, I'm so glad you guys made it." He says, hugging me tight.

I smile and he turns to Peeta, embracing him too, careful of Carter in his arms.

"I can't believe you're about to be a dad, Finnick." I say.

He nods, "I know, we haven't even had our first anniversary yet."

I laugh, "Oh, I wouldn't know when your anniversary is, being you didn't let us know you two got married for a long time." I joke, rolling my eyes.

"You're still not going to let us live that down, are you?" Finnick shrugs.

"Nope. Anyways, I thought Annie wasn't due for another couple weeks?"

"She isn't but I guess the baby is ready now." Finnick says.

I just wanna punch him and tell him I know it's a boy, but then I would break my promise to Annie and Peeta would find out.

I still haven't paid him back yet for his little stunt with Peeta a few weeks ago.

Peeta and I smile, "Can I go see her?" I ask. Finnick nods, I glance at Peeta who smiles.

"Wanna come?" I ask.

"What about Carter?"

Finnick gives me a look and nods, "She can go in too, maybe Annie will wanna see her." I shrug.

Peeta looks back at Finnick and he nods, "I'm going to go get her some water. Maybe catch something to eat, they won't let her eat." He says, walking away.

Peeta walks over and I knock on the door of her hospital room, "Annie?" I ask softly.

"Come in." She says back, I can tell she's in pain but it probably won't compare to the pain she's going to be feeling in a few hours.

I open up the door and she smiles a little, "Hey, Kat."

I walk up to her slowly, Peeta behind me.

"How are you doing?" I ask her sweetly, taking her hand.

She groans, "I'm fine, I guess. So tired, I've been up since 2 with contractions, they're getting better since they have me some meds, I'm 2 weeks early but they said everything will be fine, we just will be here for a few extra days. I'm just ready for it to be out."

Peeta comes closer, "Really? You're still not gonna say what 'it' is?" Peeta says.

Annie looks at me.

I shake my head.

"Nope. Katniss said 'no.'" She stands her ground.

Peeta rolls his eyes, "Seriously?"

We both bob our heads, "I want to hold that sweet baby." Annie says, holding her arms out for Carter.

She really likes Carter a lot.

Annie is going to be such a wonderful mother.

Peeta and I both chuckle a little, he hands her over to Annie. She lays her sleeping body across her belly, her head on her forearm.

"She's so sweet." Annie smiles, giving a motherly look to her.

"Yeah, we had her this week while Bristol was in Seven and all this stuff happened with her dad so we brought her." I shrug.

"You mean her daddy went all crazy again?" Annie asks with a frown.

I nod, "Yeah, death threats and all."

"That is so terrible." She says, hugging Carter closer.

I shrug, "Its working out for the best though that you called. Bristol is coming here tonight and we left with the baby so Brandon won't know where either of them are."

Annie smiles sadly, "I'm glad we could help." She laughs, patting her belly.

I smile widely at her and Peeta let's out a breathy laugh, "So, are you excited?" He asks kind of awkwardly.

She giggles and nods her head, "It hurts a lot though and I'm not even into half of it."

I give Peeta a look and he shrugs.

"Katniss, you mind if I go talk to Finnick for a little bit?" Peeta asks me, his lips pressed to my ear.

I nod, "Go ahead, but don't talk about me, you brat." I tease.

He gives me a small smile, "I won't." He laughs and kisses my forehead. He peers behind me and gives Annie an assuring smile and leaves.

I pull up a chair and sit next to Annie, "You're going to be such a good mom." I say truthfully to her.

Annie shrugs, "I really hope so."

"You will and you have Finnick to help you. Remember what I told you about Bristol, yell and cuss all you want."

She giggles a little, "I'll try to remember that."

"You should get Finnick for everything you've never yelled at him for."

She smiles, "Is that what you're going to do if you ever have kids?"

I laugh, dismissing her comment, mainly because it wasn't a question to as when or whatever Peeta and I have kids.

"That's my plan." I laugh.

"I'm excited that this little guy is going to have such a great aunt and uncle. You're going to be so special to him."

"Thank you. We are happy to get to be in his life and yours and Finnick's." I tell her truthfully.

Finnick and Annie are two of the most amazing people I know and I'm so happy for them.

She smiles, "I love you, Katniss."

I squeeze her hand, "I love you too, Annie."
