Chapter Six

Katniss POV- (The next day)

Somehow, Finnick, Cato, Marvel, Thresh, and Gale got Bristol and Brandon completely moved to District 12 and fast.

Peeta and I are taking separate cars.

I am driving Bristol's car and Peeta is driving his back home.

Bristol and Carter are riding with Peeta because Bristol doesn't feel comfortable driving the long distance with the baby and neither do I.

We will have to make quite a few stops with a newborn but I know it'll be fine.

Peeta is just as nervous driving a new life that far but I know he can do it.

I know his nerves will make him extra careful, more than he already is.

I kind of look forward to having some time to myself, though.

I guess to think about the big changes ahead of us as we let go of an old life.

One big change is having Carter around, instead of just hanging out with Bristol like normal and doing whatever we want to. But she is truly something special. I am so ready to see her grow up.

Another big change is having Bristol live in Twelve and be in the mix with Peeta and I's group of friends. They've never met Bristol or Brandon but all my guy friends moved them to our District and I couldn't be more grateful.

I decided after Bristol gets settled in and stuff to have a little get together with everyone at our house.

As a thank you for the guys and even for the girls letting their lovers go for a few days. And as a welcome party type thing for Carter and Bristol.

We haven't all been together in so long, it'll be fun.

Maybe we could even have a sleep over like we use to when we were in highshool, almost a year ago.

It is crazy how fast time flies.

It seems like just yesterday we were graduating and heading off to college.

In a couple weeks, I'll be walking down the aisle but I think the biggest change of all will be Peeta and I's relationship.

We will become one soon.

Well, officially.

I know that there will still be ups and downs in our relationship and that marriage won't be easy but as long as Peeta and I are together, I know we will make it.

There's still some growing up to do on both our parts and some figuring out how we want to make our marriage work.

It won't really be much different than it is now but it is in a sense.

"Katniss, are you ready?" Peeta knocks me from my thoughts.

I look up, "Yeah, let's go." I say.

"You alright?" He asks worriedly.

I laugh a little, "Yes. Just thinking." I say.

Peeta nods and takes both my hands in his, "If you need a break or whatever let me know. We will probably have to make quite a few stops but I don't know."

I nod and Peeta kisses my forehead, "I'll see you soon, okay?"

I smile, "Okay, be safe. I love you."

Peeta blushes a hint, "I love you too." He says.

I laugh, "Why are you blushing?" I tease him like he use to me.

He shrugs, "Because I still can't believe you love me. I know you love me but it still makes me so happy." Peeta says embarrassed.
