Peeta POV- (Monday, May 18th. One day before Carter comes)

"Peeta, wake up. We need to get busy." Katniss says, bouncing on the bed.

I open my eyes and lift my head up.

"What are you doing, you nerd?" I laugh.

"Come on, it's like 10 o'clock. We need to start cleaning!" Katniss says excitedly.

I bring my face into the pillow again, "Give me a minute." I say sleepily, but she doesn't.

She climbs on me and straddles my back.

"Katniss, get off."

"No, come on." She says.

I chuckle and flip myself so that I'm on my back, Katniss stays afloat, "I'll kiss you if you get up." Katniss says softly, leaning forward, her lips just inches from mine.

I wrap my arms around her waist, so that she can't get away and lean forward but she pulls her face back, "Are you going to get up?"

I laugh, "Yes, I'm going to get up after you kiss me." I tell her.

She gives me a look, "You better."

"I will, I promise." I say, puckering my lips.

She smiles and leans into me and we share our first kiss of the day.

"I love you." I tell her with a sleepy smile.

Katniss smiles and rolls off of me, "I love you too. Now get up." She says, standing up and pulling on my hands.

I get out of bed and she throws a t-shirt and some sweats at my face and walks out of our bedroom.

I quickly dress and meet her downstairs in the kitchen, "What did you make me for breakfast?" I tease her.

She slides a plate across the counter, "I made you food, now eat." Katniss says.

"I was kidding about that but thank you." I say, taking the plate and sitting down.

Katniss comes over and stands next to me, leaning against the island.

I take a bite of the food, "So, are we regular cleaning or deep cleaning?" I ask.

She laughs, "I guess we can deep clean, it needs to be done. I don't think we've done it since we moved in."

"Like what, 6 months?" I ask.

Katniss shrugs her shoulders, "I guess. We moved back in November, right?"

I nod, "I think so, I don't remember."

"It is weird, this time a year ago we were still in high school. We were almost graduated." Katniss gives me a face.

"So much has changed in just a year."

"Yeah, we were broken up then, weren't we?" Katniss reminds me.

I frown, "I think so."

"That was terrible."

I nod, "But look at us now." I say, wrapping my arm around her waist, her arms ravel around my neck.

Katniss gives me a smile, and leans down looking me right in the eyes, "We've been engaged, college kids, roommates and now we are married."

I smile and kiss her cheek, "And just think how much more will change in just another year." I tell her.

"It's crazy but also kind of amazing." Katniss sighs.

I nod, and finish my food, "That was good, Katniss. Thank you." I say, patting her back.

"Ready to start this mess?" She laughs.
