Katniss POV- (A few hours later)

"Peeta Mellark!" Finnick calls from the kitchen.

Peeta passes me Finn and goes into the kitchen to see what he wants. Annie is in their bedroom, napping.

I smile at Finn, "Why are you so serious, huh?" I ask him with a laugh.

He just looks at me and blinks his green eyes.

This must be how I was as a baby.

My mother says I would never smile or anything. She said the first time that I really smiled was when I was 8 months old. And it took a lot of coaxing from my father to get just that.

I let out a laugh and make a few faces at him.

He just stares at me.

"Really?" I laugh.

Finn does not seem amused.

Peeta comes back a minute later and sits down, "What'd he want?" I ask softly.

"Baking advice." Peeta says with a laugh.

I smirk, "He's making Annie something, isn't he?"

He nods, "He's trying, that is."

"Interesting. Let's see where this goes."

Peeta chuckles and kisses my forehead.

"He's so serious. At like a day old, Carter was already smiling at us and he won't." I laugh.

"Maybe it's because he doesn't know us?" Peeta suggests.

"Maybe but he's stuck with us." I state and look down to see Finn smiling a little bit.

I gasp and so does Peeta, "Aw, there it is!" He says in a baby voice.

I smile widely, "Yeah. You're stuck with us!" I say, in high pitched voice, tickling his tummy, making him laugh a little too.

"There you go!" Peeta laughs and cheers him on.

I smile down at him, "See. Don't be so serious." I laugh and Finn just closes his eyes, more of his way of rolling them at me maybe even ignoring me.

Peeta scoffs, "I guess he's going to just ignore you now." He chuckles, thinking it's adorable, which it is.

Finn never does end up opening his eyes again at the time, I guess he fell asleep.

I leave a sleeping Finn and Peeta on the couch as I walk into the kitchen to see how Finnick's baking was coming along.

"Finnick Odair, your child just closed his eyes while I was talking to him."

He looks up and laughs, "Yeah, he does that to Annie too. Especially when he hears something he doesn't particularly like."

I chuckle and shake my head, "That kid is literally a mini Finnick Odair."

Finnick smiles proudly and starts doing whatever he was doing again.

"He's really serious. Have you ever made him smile?" I joke.

"Yeah, he thinks it's funny when Annie yells at me or play fights me." Finnick laughs too.

I shake my head with a faint laugh.

"What are you making?" I ask him curiously, when I can't figure out by the messy kitchen and ingredients.

"I'm making Annie a cake."

"Aw, she will love that."

Finnick smirks, "I know."

I shake my head, "You're dumb."

"So are you."

I laugh, "I know."

"Where's Peetie?"

I grin, "Asleep on the couch."

"With the baby, I assume?"

I nod.

"This morning's conversation..."

"Helped. I think you're right but I still need to gather my feelings about it all."

"I'm not saying you have to. You have probably another fifteen-twenty years for them to be out of the question."

I shake my head, "I'm not waiting that long and I'm not having a baby at forty."

He chuckles.

I swear I can get so mad at people for asking about Peeta and I's personal life but honestly, Finnick, Bristol, and Annie don't bother me.

They know.

I know Finnick is right though, time is ticking.

But again, everything I told Finnick this morning is true.

I just can't imagine it.

Like the baby live inside you for 9 months and it comes out and everyone is practically strangers. I just find if so weird and confusing and it's not even just that.

I don't know how I feel about this honestly.

But it's almost time for Peeta to ask me and I don't know what I'll say.
