Peeta POV-

"When is the last time you took medicine?" I ask her as she cries out in pain.

I feel like I am going to cry, I hate seeing her in so much pain.

"Sh, just take deep breaths and quit moving around." I tell her softly.

She tries but keeps flinching and jerking as she feels pain in her back and stomach.

"Peeta, it hurts." Katniss cries loudly into her pillow, having enough.

I lay there and rub her back, trying to calm her down but ultimately failing.

"Peeta." She cries into my lap.

"You're gonna make me cry too, now stop it. Let's go to the hospital. I know you don't want to but you need to."

"No, I don't want to go, Peeta. It's so embarrassing!" She says flailing around.

I roll my eyes.

"Katniss, I'm taking you to the hospital. Come on." I say, scooping her up out of bed and wrapping a little blanket around her, she kicks and screams but I hold her tight.

"Katniss, I'm not gonna tell you again to stop." I snap at her as I rustle around the house to find my keys.

"Peeta, I don't want them to know about it." She cries.

"I promise you they are not going to care, please? This is for your health and remember our promise." I say.

Her breathing rapid, she's having a panic attack no doubt, she doesn't say anything after that.

She's crying hysterically and shaking.

"It hurts so bad, Peeta." She sobs into my chest.

"I know. We are gonna go get you some help, just try to breathe." I say as I trample down the stairs in the dark.

She holds me tightly and I run out the front door, car keys in hand.

I lay her in the front seat and buckle her up, trying to hurry and then I run to my side and rush to the hospital.

"Peeta, I'm really dizzy. I feel like I'm going to pass out." She sobs when we are about half way there.

I reach over and set my hand on her thigh, "You are okay, just try not to think about it." I say, feeling terrible for her.

I know she's really in a lot of pain or else she would be arguing with me about going to the ER at 4 in the morning.

Katniss breathes heavily and she cringes.

Ten minutes later, we finally arrive in the ER entrance and I hop out of the car.

She's crying hysterically as I pull her out of the car and hold her bridal style and run into the ER just about the time I meet the nurses in the hall, she pukes all over me.

"Oh no." Katniss cries hysterically into my shirt, thinking I'll be upset and ultimately getting more puke on herself.

I can't help but to make a disgusted face but I just try to ignore the fact everything she has eaten in the last day is all over me and her.

I can tell she feels extremely bad about it and she didn't mean to so I ignore it as I make it to the nurses who wait in the hall.

"Peeta, please don't leave me?" Katniss cries as they have me put her on the ER examination table, she holds onto me tightly, her eyes frantic.

"I'm not. Just calm down." I say, kind of annoyed with her dramaticness but I can't say much, usually I am freaking out whether I'm in her spot or in mine.

I walk up behind her as the nurses check her vitals and ask us a thousand questions about her condition and clean her up.

"Peeta, you need to go change." She mumbles to me, taking huge, choppy breaths.

"No, I'm not leaving you."

A nurse looks at me, "Mr. Mellark, we are moving your wife to a room soon. If you want to stay, you will need to go change your clothes."

I sigh and Katniss snaps her head at me.

"When you go, will you please bring me my necklace?" She says softly, tears running down her cheeks.

I bend down to her level, "What necklace?"

"My orange and green diamond one, it's upstairs." She says.

I nod my head, leaning down and kissing her on the top of the head and I go.

Katniss POV-

"Mrs. Mellark, your blood pressure is extremely high and you're running a pretty high fever." The doctor says, checking my information.

I shrug.

"You seem to be dehydrated too. When's the last time you drank a whole bottle of water? The entire thing, not just a sip."

I shrug, "I don't know, a while back. I don't really drink anything or eat anything until dinner and I barely drink water. The last few days, I've been sipping it to take medicine."

He sighs, "That is not good at all. You seem to have a very severe kidney infection on top of that, you are menstruating.  Dehydration makes it all worse. You could've saved yourself a trip here." The doctor scolds me.

I clench my teeth at the pain, "Well, you have to make a living, don't you?" I mouth off.

"Well, we are going to put you in a room and get some fluids running in you." He tells me.

I groan as the nurses help me change into a night gown and hook me up to a few IV's and a monitor.

"We will send your husband in as soon as he arrives. It's 4:30 so try to get some sleep. We will be in every 60 minutes to check your pain and your vitals. We have liquids running in your IV's that will help your dehydration and your blood pressure too. Take these tablets for pain and fever." A nurse says, handing me a little cup with two little white pills in it and a glass of water.

I take the pills and request more water, trying to stall as much as I can until Peeta comes back and end up finishing it and falling asleep, worried about Peeta.

At about 5am, Peeta finally comes into my room.

I sit up, feeling excruciating pains again and cringe.

"Peeta, what took so long?" I ask him as he approaches my bed.

"I was talking to the doctor about you and I had to find us some clothes." He says.

I sigh and nod, laying my head back down.

"Just try to get some sleep, Sweetheart. I'm here now. I'm not leaving."

I shake my head and carefully scoot over, making room for him.

"Lay with me." I demand.

He shakes his head, "Katniss, they will be upset if I do. I promise, I'll be right here."

I sit up completely now, making my whole being feel pain again but I push it back.

"I'm not sleeping until you lay with me." I say,?crossing my arms.

Peeta sighs, "Fine." He says, carefully helping me lay down and lays down next to me and instantly, he numbs the pain.
