Katniss POV- (Later that night)

"I'll just go put her in her room since it's getting pretty late." Peeta murmurs softly to us as he carefully stands up.

I smile up at Peeta who just smiles back at me.

He is so sweet.

As soon as Peeta is out of earshot, Bristol comes over to me.

"Katniss, I want you to go home tonight." Bristol says softly.

I look at her confused, "Huh?" I ask.

"I want you to go home. I can do it by myself, you've done so much already but I want to try it on my own." Bristol says confidently.

I shrug, "Are you sure?" I ask, unconvinced.

"Yes. I want you and Peeta to get back to your normal lives. You've been with us for almost a week." She says, looking guilty.

I laugh a little, "Bristol, we want to help you. This is our normal life now. We want it to be." I tell her truthfully.

Bristol frowns, "Katniss, I want you to go home and be with Peeta. I can see how much he's missing your attention and how much your missing his." She says, setting her hand on my shoulder.

It is true.

As much as I love helping out, I do miss Peeta a lot, though we've been together mostly but still.

"Carter and I will be fine. I will call you if I need you, I promise." Bristol says.

I decide not to fight it anymore.

"Okay, but you're positive?" I ask, just to be sure.

Bristol scoffs, "Yes, Kat! I'm sure." She giggles, a little frustrated.

I let out a breathy laugh, "Okay, thank you." I mouth as Peeta walks back into the living room.

"Okay, she's in her crib. She didn't budge, must've played pretty hard today. Uh, I guess I'll be going." Peeta says, walking over to me.

I look at Bristol and she gives me a look and nods.

"Actually, I'm coming with you tonight." I say, smiling awkwardly.

Peeta looks over at Bristol, "Why?" He asks confused.

"Katniss and you both need a break. I promise, we will be okay. I'll call if I need y'all." Bristol says.

Peeta gives us both weird looks, "Uh, okay." He says awkwardly.

I laugh a little, "What? You don't want me home?" I ask, pushing him with my elbow, playfully.

Peeta chuckles and brings his lips close to my ears, "Oh, I never said that." He whispers, making me shiver.

I grin and bite my lip a little, "Good." I whisper back.

"You two should have already been married along time ago!" Bristol interrupts us.

Peeta and I turn around, "Why?" I laugh.

"I don't know. You two are just so cute. What took you so long to propose to her, Peeta?" Bristol says with her District accent.

Peeta chuckles, "Well, I knew from the beginning I wanted to marry her but I didn't know how to ask and we were only 16. I also wanted time for us to grow, that's why I gave her a promise ring long before I actually proposed." Peeta explains.

"Aw, that explains her two rings." Bristol says smiling wide.

"Yep, it's a three piece set. Her last one will be added at the wedding, then it's complete." Peeta says proudly.
