Chapter 63 Part One

"This is the perfect moment." I sighed, kind of embarrassed at how cliche it sounded. Then again, since when did Tyler and I rise above the cliche stereotypes? Never, that's when.

"You have a way for understatement's sometimes." He chuckled. His laughter was soft and quiet, easily swept away into the music of the soft restaurant.

"You think it will work tomorrow?" I asked, as we swayed to the music, not really dancing. Our arms were wrapped together, my head on his chest and his head on mine, rocking back and forth to the band.

"I hope so." his arms tightened around me. "It has to."

Okay, so once again, I am way ahead of myself. Well, not ahead of myself, more like to far ahead of you. Let's rewind....

**Before School*

"Okay, I will see you soon." I hung up the phone, not needing a response. Tyler left me with a cryptic; 'I need to drive you to school, we need to talk. It's important.'. By the way he said it, I knew he meant it. Also, the sulking pouty voice told me that it was nothing to get excited about. I was sporting a messy bun, glasses, not-so-baggy jeans and a grey over-sized sweatshirt.

"Bye, Nana! Love you!" I yelled, but was shocked to find her by the door on my way out. She was giving me a dark look.

"What the fuck did I do now?" I huffed.

"Do you know what today is?" She asked, I shook my head.  "Its your last check-up, I know you stopped seeing the counselor at school several weeks back." She held up her hand when I went to step in. "Aside, from the few times you wanted to skip class. They won't like that. So try not to mess anything else up for it." She wrapped her arms around me, but kept eye contact.

"I know now that you have your friends, and are moving on with your life. But that doesn't change the mistakes you've made in your past, sweetie. Try not to forget about things, that you have to do." She was serious. It struck me funny that I would even forget such a day. I mean, it wasn't 'just' a check-up. It was my LAST check-up. The one that decided if I was ready to handle myself, if I no longer needed to be supervised, with regular check-ups and therapy.

"Okay, Nana. Thank-you. If you can pick me up after school it will be easiest. Tyler is picking me up today, he has something to talk about." She nodded your head.

"I will see you then, Hija." After that she let me leave, and I rushed to Tyler's truck. With a sense of deja 'vu, I opened the door to loud Taylor Swift music. He instantly glared at me and turned off the radio.

"I swear the more times I see you do that, the more I wonder if Bud was not the only jock who fucked for a attention." I teased, sliding in.

"Ha. Ha. Your soooo funny." He gave me a playful glare, and started down the road.

"So what is it you need to talk about?" I asked, he huffed.

"Thanks for warming up the conversation, before diving right in." He mocked.

"I'm a nerd, not a therapist."

"Okay, well. We are running out of time, we graduate in two months. Most people already have there college planned out, and have been accepted. The first football season starts in August. I have offers from every school in this State, all I have to do is get the funds and say yes." He explained. I nodded, part of me wanted to tell him about the 16,000 dollar card I got him, and the scholarship deal I worked for Tyler, by doing the school festival. But I kept my mouth shut, because half of it would include telling him about my fetish for dressing up  and calling myself Julliard.
