The seen at the hospital was terrible, people rushing all over the place, trying to save 'Jane Doe'. Did that jock ass little cunt leave? Why don't they know her name?

"Where is Tyler Peterson?" I asked a nurse at the counter.

"Who?"

"The boy who came in with the knife victim."

"Do you know what her name is?" She asked disregarding my question, I nodded.

"Annabella Peterson, Her guardian is on her way as we speak. " She grabbed the sleeve of a nurse next to her and whispered something to her and sent her off.

"The boy who came in with her is standing in the hallway, he hasn't spoke since he got here, he is in shock. No-one is approaching him we have every doctor in the operating room with your...."

"Best friend." She nodded and pointed through the door, With Ethan at my side and Bud at the other, we made our way to the door, but at that moment Tyler walked through the door.

"Oh my god." I gasped running up to him. He had blood all over his white dress shirt, his pants were stiff looking, but I couldn't see red of blood past the darkness of the pants. The blue tie had splatters of blood, he had hand wipes of blood on his face and in his hair. But he looked lost, like the lights were on but the bitch wasn't home.

"Nurse!" I yelled, "Please get me a bucket, warm water and wash cloth please!" She nodded.

"I will grab him some shrubs and we should just dump the clothes. Be careful when approaching him." She rushed to a room behind the desk area.

"come on Tyler." I took a deep breath, this has to be the worst prom ever, and I was the one who insisted on Ella going!

"S'not fair." He mumbled, not really moving on his own, but not objecting to me pushing him in the chair. I turned to Ethan, his deep caring brown eyes had a world of pain. This was his best friend, his brother. I pulled him into my arms and placed my hand on his cheek.

"Go to the cafeteria babe, get some coffee and food, Nana will be here soon, everyone needs to be fed." I gave him a soft kiss

"Okay." His voice was hoarse. "I love you." He pecked my forehead and with one last look toward Tyler, left.

"Bud, honey." I started hesitantly.

"The worst part isnt even that they know..." His voice cut off with emotion, his Adams apple bobbed. "Its that... That he..." I wrapped my arms around him.

"Shh, I know."

"and Ellie, she might not make it." I pulled back.

"Dont think that way!! Sit down and try to be calm. " The nurse showed up with the stuff, I looked at Bud.... he was going to be no help... I looked around the room until I found a male nurse.

"Hey, Macho Macho, can you help my buddy here get dressed? I kind of don't feel like doing that..." I trailed off looking at the jock-ass who was mumbling to himself. I shook my head, god forbid anything be normal about my life. Like why cant we be that normal school where there wasn't some queen bitch and cliques? Is there such thing?

"Um, You just want me to make sure he gets changed?" He asked looking toward him.

"His girlfriend got stabbed in front of him, he is in shock. I have to clean him up, but I can't do that with him covered in bloody clothes." The mans eyes changed from cautious to sympathy filled in seconds.

"Of course I will help him..." He began to whisper things to Tyler and got him to stand up.... and thats when Nana walked in. Quite the image I'm sure, tear stricken Bud, blood covered delirious Tyler being held by a nurse, and then me, A sexy curvy girl, who was trying so hard to not crumple at the thought of loosing my best friend.

"What happened?" Her voice was soft, but her eyes told me she already knew it was terrible.

"Prom went to hell, Scarlett outed Bud, when Ella was ready to kill Scarlett for that and the whole issue with Beth, Mikey showed the whole school Ellas past and..." I was going for a rush, hoping the words would fall out, cause I sure as hell couldn't push them. I sighed and rubbed my head, I knew i was just worrying her, I took a deep breath and tried again.

"He stabbed her..." I almost congratulated myself, despite the crap situation, until I realized Bud was the one who spoke.

"Is she alive?" Nana asked wrapping her arms around me, I all but collapsed into her familiar smell.

"I dont know, we just got here, they have everyone rushing her into surgery. There was blood... so much blood." Nana rocked me back in fourth, but I pulled back when the still bloodied Tyler came out in scrubs. I thanked the male nurse, and led Tyler to the spot with the bucket and cleaning supplies.

"Come on Tyler, lets get you cleaned up." I felt bad that I was loosing my friend, but Tyler was next to her, just got a girl he was ready to give everything up for.... just to loose her, and maybe everything else. His blue eyes, not wet, but almost thought-less gave me a once over, and as if deciding I wasn't a threat, he went back to mumbling to himself, Ethan came back with food and coffee, though no one aside from Nana ate anything. I was almost finished cleaning him up..... That's was when the bloody nurse came out, breathless and pale.
