Chapter 40- Part 2

"Okay, Everyone. We have a special performance tonight." I said, as everyone turned to me. I smiled. when I spotted Payson I nodded to Ethan who was behind the curtain, on the side -stage. "Your about to witness your own picture-perfect love confession. Introducing Ethan Stakes!" I said, as Ethan walked out smiling. Payson looked in shock, and jealousy. I just laughed inwardly.
"Okay, um. Well, I wrote this song. For a girl, who has been in my life for awhile. And I wasn't to sure if I should do this, but a mutual friend said. That it was a chance worth taking. I have never risked, or fell in love with someone before. But I am sure that's what this feeling is. So to Payson Rigs, this one is for you." Ethan was slow, and hesitant through out the whole speech. I wasn't sure which one I found more amusing, how shocked Payson looked, or how nervous Ethan was.

I had to admit that the words were kind of am-mature, and he was not the best singer. But it was incredibly adorable, watching him up there. I took a glance to Tyler. Whom was laughing at Ethan, I assumed.
"Were just friends,
Simple as that.
I don't want it to end..
But I'm falling in love
With the best friend I got."
As the song progressed, it was adorable, that the more he sang, the glassier Payson's eyes got. Slowly tears fell over her cheeks, and as the song came to an end. Payson made her way to the front of the room, toward the stage. She climbed up, smiled at me as she made her way to Ethan. He barley had time to move his guitar out of the way, before she was throwing herself at him. Just barley could I make out her saying that she loved him to.
It was to much like a movie scene, I almost expected a camera man to come out and say 'cut'. After that Ethan and Payson got aloud applause, after a big kiss, and they left the stage, leaving us to a wonderful night. It wasn't until later did, me and Payson share all the details.
