Rory's pov

Early in the morning I woke up from the nightmare even though I barely have to sleep anymore, I got dressed and ate breakfast and headed off to school and met up with ethan and benny and Sarah at their lockers. I still felt weird about the dream from last night, I wanted to know if ethan secretly liked mikayla but probably not.

" Hey guys " I said as they gave me weird looks

" What's up with dorko " Erica said

" Nothing just a nightmare " I said

" About anything in particular " Sarah said

" Ethan do you have a crush on mikayla? " I said as all their eyes widened

" Ew, no...and you shouldn't either she's a bad influence and it might rub off on you " ethan said in a tone

" Ethan she's not a terrible influence..and nothing is gonna rub off on me because you guys are my best friends...and the way your tone is I wouldn't be surprised if you were jealous " I said as ethan scoffed

" Even if I were to like mikayla I wouldn't tell anyone other then benny...which I don't and benny would know " ethan said as benny nodded his head

They walked away and I headed to class as we started working and seen mikayla talking to a boy so I got alittle jealous until she seen me and ran up to me and hugged me and I hugged her back and looked at the boy who walked away then she pulled away and showed me something on her phone, ethan and benny came in and they rolled their eyes as ethan sat behind mikayla and when she sent me  a text message I sent it to benny who read it and then he sent it to ethan and ethan looked at it and his face slightly turned red and benny tried to comfort him as mikayla sent the text to the entire class and smiled causing ethan to leave class as we rushed after him. We ran up to him as he was trying to hide his face

" Dude, are you okay? " Benny said as ethan didn't answer

" No, I've been getting picked on since first grade..I don't need your new little girlfriend picking on me to " ethan said

" It was just a simple text...she didn't mean any harm " I said defending her

" Okay, what exactly did it say...I just forward it I never read it " benny asked

" It said ethan thinks he's totally cool but he's really a pathetic loser " I said

" Oh look we're all sad over a small text...isn't that the most amazing thing ever " mikayla said walking over smiling

" It's not cool mikayla..." Ethan said as she smiled

" To me it is " mikayla said

" Ethan it was just a joke " I said as mikayla walked away and ethan stared at her and bit his lip

" Dude, she's mine so back off...I'm gonna ask her out tonight " I said walking away to find mikayla

Ethan's pov

" Dude, she's mine so back off...I'm gonna ask her out tonight " rory said and walking away

I looked at benny with a what just happened look and benny was in complete shock and shook his head and sighed as I shut my locker and we started walking but how did all of our problems start with just one girl

" He's hopeless...he's literally wrapped around her finger and he's falling for it " benny said

" Rory is the only one out of the three of us who's desperate to get a girlfriend in high school before us " I said rolling my eyes

We entered class and sat in the back and began talking

" Rory just doesn't understand that mikayla would never date him...she likes a challenge and a fight " I said writing answers on my paper

" How do you even know that...she just showed up " benny said as I shrugged

" Maybe because I can see it in her eyes " I said as I got a text from rory

I took out my phone and clicked on the text message and rory sent me a message saying hey, so I asked mikayla out on a date and she completely laughed in my face and walked away..I've never felt more humiliated in my life so I'm going home all my friends were watching me and I got embarrassed..I'll text you later ☮️ mikayla completely embarrassed rory in front of the whole school when he asked her out. After class I went to find mikayla who was in her class all alone so I shut the door behind me and locked as I walked up to her

" What is wrong with you? " I said as mikayla looked confused

" What are you talking about? " Mikayla said putting her things in her bag

" Rory told me you turned him down and humiliated him in front of the entire school...what's your problem one minute your friends with him the next your not " I said as mikayla turned to me

" Are you delusional or something I was never friends with rory or you..." Mikayla said

" Oh right because if someone becomes friends with you they get to close and find out your little secrets...your nothing but a loser and always will be " I said as mikayla just looked at me

" You can come after me all you want but don't hurt my friends ever..." I said as she smiled and left

" I didn't mean to hurt him...I'm just not ready for a relationship right now after my ex hurt me...just let him know I'm sorry " mikayla said leaving

" Just because your ex broke your heart doesn't give you the right to hurt someone else....maybe next time to just let him off easy or just stay away from him " I said as mikayla turned around

" What is your deal ethan.. you think just because I turned down one little geek means you know everything about me now huh well guess what you don't...I dont know who you think you are but I'm none of your guys business and I know who you are " mikayla said mad

" You don't know anything about me " I said scoffing

" Oh really, your the boy who's obsessed with the supernatural stuff and is always looking for a mystery well your not gonna get one from me so get over it " mikayla said

Me and mikayla stared at each other for ten minutes until benny came in the room and mikayla quickly left as benny came up to me and I told him we have to find rory. We couldn't find him but I assumed he went out for a walk or something so I went home and benny came with me and mikayla came up to my room and we started talking

" I told rory I wasn't ready for a relationship and I told him about my ex boyfriend....he still has a crush on me and still tried to flirt with me " mikayla said giggling

" That's rory for you...but I appreciate you trying to make up for what you did " I said as me and mikayla just smiled and stared at each other and benny looked back and forth between both of us

" So don't you have some little kids to go scare or something? " Benny said as mikayla looked at him

" I'll see you dorks later " mikayla said

After she left benny gave me a look and began thinking as I smiled and sat down and he sat down with me in a smart kind of way

" I'm thinking that someone has a crush on mikayla " benny said smiling

" I do not..." I said as benny her my defensiveness

" Dude, do you actually like her? " Benny said

" You can't tell rory....but I need to talk to him and hope he understands that we can work it out " I said as benny felt like puking

" Dude, I wanna puke at how you think mikayla is cute she's the exact opposite of cute " benny said
