Chapter 6

"Holy fuck this can't be happening," Neha said 

"We need to get home to lia right now," I said getting more scared 

Out of nowhere, a two-car came out from behind us and cornered us. We tried to get rid of them but they won't budge 

As we were speeding up the one of the car drove in front of us causing us to slow down a bit while another car came from behind and hit us causing our car to slid and rolled over multiple times 

I couldn't move my body. My eyes were barely opened I looked over to neha to see she isn't moving

"Neha get up we need to get out of here," I said hoarsely I look to see my arms are cut deeply by the glasses from the window

"Neha get up" I cried " please Neha please get up" I shouted hoping she would hear my voice

I tried to wiggle myself out of the car. I've heard a voice yelling I looked up to see an old man pulling me out of the car 

"Please sir my friend is still in the car please get her out," I said crying as he pulled me towards an old lady who I assumed to be his wife

"Ok sweetheart don't worry we'll get her out Katherine hold onto her," he said to his wife as she holds me

"Just as the old man turned around to head back to the car it exploded. The only thing I could hear was my scream. The tears were tumbling down my face. I felt as if I was sinking into the ground. She's gone I thought to myself as the tears continued to flow rapidly down my cheeks 

" sweetheart I'm so sorry," the old woman said as I cried into her arms "this is all my fault, "I said 

Then I remembered I needed to get home to lia 

" Please I need to get home to my daughter she's in danger" 

"Katherine drive her home I'll call the police, " the old man said to his wife

We left in the old man's car and drove to my home. I couldn't stop thinking about what happened. Everything just happened so fast and she is gone because of me. I started to sob in the car while the old woman was trying to calm me down while driving. I can't be weak right now I thought to myself

I need to be strong for neha and lia. I hope she's ok. I can't lose her too, I just can't. A couple of minutes later we arrived in front of my home. Something is not right, the lights are off. At this point, my heart is beating rapidly in my chest. 

"Ma'am please stay here I'll be back," I said to the old woman not wanting her to get hurt if something goes bad

I walk towards my home not wanting to enter but I need to make sure lia's ok 

I turned the doorknob and opened the door to a horrid smell coming from the living room, I turned on the lights and I instantly started to throw up what I ate for lunch. I couldn't do anything but scream 

There was blood all over the living room Emily laid there lifeless but multiple gunshots to her head. I didn't notice when Katherine entered the house

"Oh my God sweetheart we need to get out of here," she said as she pulls me towards the door

"No I need to find my daughter," I said and I ran up the stairs

"Lia" I shouted "lia are you here" I shouted again I was replied with nothing but silence. 

"I just call the police there on their way," Katherine said as she and upstairs" where's your daughter? "she asks

I fell to my knees. I couldn't take it anymore. They have her now. God knows what they'll do to her and I can't do anything.

The police arrived a couple of minutes later. It had been reported that five other children who were girls were kidnapped the same night from our town but the police suspect they were after lia. Maybe they didn't know what lia looked like and where she lives so they took all the girls who were around four years of age.

I need to find lia. I can't lose her, not after I just lost Neha. I just can't and there's only one person who can help me.
