Violet's POV

Where am I?

I rub my eyes when I got up from lying down. Bakit ba ako nakahiga sa damuhan?

Naglibot agad ang paningin ko ngunit ni isa ay walang pamilyar sa akin kaya naglakad ako, nagbabaka-sakaling may tao dito.

Ano ba dito, ang dilim na nga ng paligid, mukhang hindi pa nililinisan. Di ba uso yung walis dito?

"You're awake, finally." I stopped my track when I heard a 'very' familiar voice.

Please don't tell me it's the grum—

"And who are you calling grumpy there, you thankless tot?"

"Wala pa nga akong sinasabi." Wala ding saysay kung bubulong pa ulit ako sa sarili kong isip kung maririnig at malalaman din naman niya.

"Tss." He goes towards the direction of a straw house. Ay, may bahay pa pala dito.

"What are you still doing there?"

"You can read mind but can't see by your own eyes, unbelievable." He rolls his eyes at me.

"Sarcastic kid, follow me." Wala ka namang sinabi. Psh.

"Anong meron dito? Dito ka talaga nakatira?" Tanong ko.

"You're talkative today, are you sure you're Violet not Menchie?" Ang daming dada! Di nalang sagutin tanong ko!

"Dalawang tanong lang naman, tsaka damot na damot ka ngayon ah."

Uupo ba ako o uupo? Umupo kasi si Shawn sa isang upuan tapos may katapat na upuan.

Ah kailan pa ako nahawaan ng katangahan?

Agad akong umupo sa katapat na upuan ni Shawn. Aish, titingnan pa ako ng masama eh.

"Anong meron? Is there any problem?"  I hope there's not. "Problem? There is." Wait, really?

"What kind of problem?" He stays silent for a while while looking at me then he suddenly smirked that made all the hair on my body stand up.

Shawn is the type of person who can kill by looks. Even if you turn your back at him, you will totally know he's looking at you by his piercing stares.

"Are you ready to know?" I didn't know we still need to prepare before hearing a problem. Problem comes at an unexpected time.

"Yeah." I answered Shawn and he just raises his eyebrows and chuckled. Seriously, why does he likes to laugh at me like I'm a joker?

"You're really just like your father."

"I want to ask more about my parents but you just said that there 'is' a problem and I'm afraid it's about Centrum city."

"You're quite a fortune teller, but its not just Centrum. Its the whole Enchanta who's in the line." Muntik ng lumuwa ang puso ko dahil sa sinabi ni Shawn. Seryoso ba?

"Do I look like I'll humor you with jokes?" I think the hell not. So its real? Like totoong-totoo?

"Bakit naman buong Enchanta ang nanganganib?" Wala naman sigurong maglalakas-loob na kalabanin pa ang buong mundo. Unless...

"Yung kinuwento mo noon na nagsimula ng digmaan bampira laban sa mga tao?" Kapag nakita ko kung sino man yun, sasabihin ko na ang panget ng ugali niya.

"Exactly."

"Why would he do that again?! Ang sakit naman niya sa head!" He just bats his eyelashes and asked again.
