7. Before You Leave

Author-nim’s P.O.V.

“Be a good boy, my baby.” Jin teary-eyed as he kissed Soobin on both his cheeks. He will surely miss his son for the next three days. He’s always been his source of hope and energy whenever he’s feeling down and distressed.

“Yes Appa, I promise. I will miss you! Please don’t forget to say good night to me, huh, Appa? You know I can’t have a good night sleep if you don’t say good night.” Soobin pouted his lips while talking to his father.

“I promise baby, Appa will always call, okay?” Just then, Yoongi pulled him for an embrace and whispered,

“I’ll miss you, honey. Come home soon. I promise to do what I said last night.”

Jin leaned back a bit to stare at his husband and he smiled at him, “Thank you, hun. I’ll come back soon. Please take care of yourself and our son.”

“Of course, hun. I love you, Jin.”

“I love you too.”

The 'fasten seat belt' sign has now come off. Jin unbuckled his seat belt and sighed while looking out the window from where he’s seated in the economy class.

He’s been thinking of what Yoongi said. He was almost ready to abandon their marriage as he’s fed up of all the beatings and misunderstandings. But he also knows deep in his heart that he wanted to save whatever they have left, only because of their son. Leaving Yoongi is easier said than done. If it were only him and his husband, it would be much easier.

During their early years, it might seem difficult for him to let go as he’s so deeply in love with Yoongi. As their relationship went on over the years, he told himself that whatever flaws his husband has, he had to embrace it. For better or worse, he thought. But it would always come to a point where he can’t stomach everything anymore. So he would just ask himself, ‘am I still in love with him? Or am I just stuck on the thought of keeping our vows true?'

One thing he would always hold onto is that he’s sure that his husband loves him. Yoongi always treasured him. He never caught him cheating or even looking at other men. That’s why Yoongi always gets jealous when someone is around him. As he himself has always been faithful to Jin. So he thought, whatever issue they may have, they can always solve it. As long as fidelity is present and Yoongi’s love for him never changes, he thought everything else can be resolved.

Now Yoongi promised he will work on their issues. Will he finally bring back the old relationship they had? He's feeling hopeful. He thinks it is better to try and give it a shot than go thru the more complicated matter of divorcing.

Jin rested his head back on his seat and closed his eyes. He wanted to sleep for a while as it is a 12-hour flight to Heathrow, might as well just rest so he can lessen the possible jet lag.

Business Class.

Taehyung has just finished his meal and now just watching a movie on his tablet with airpods on. This has been his favorite movie of all time, 'Call me by your name', as he wished to find the same romance like what the main characters of the movie have.

He might seem to be a player because of the scandals he's gone thru with the media, but he's just looking for real love. He is just very aggressive most of the time, living life the way he wants it, that's why it always comes out negatively in the eyes of the public.
