45. Change The Course

Seokjin's P.O.V.

"No, Dr. Min. I just want to hand you these. It's my resignation letter. And enclosed with it are some documents I've been keeping from you. I will also return all the money Mr. Min gave me. I'm so sorry Dr. Min. I hope you can forgive me someday for everything I've done."

"What are you saying Clara? Why are you resigning? And what are these?!" I open the envelope she gave me while looking at her, crying in front of me and nervously playing with her fingers.

"I have to go far from here with my children, Dr. Min. Far from your husband. I'm so sorry. Every night, my conscience eats me up but I have no choice as I want to keep my family safe..

But when I heard that the child I have wronged has a heart condition, I couldn't take it anymore. You deserve to know. I'm so sorry, Dr. Min." Clara fell on her knees and bowed before me.

What she's saying is still a big confusion for me. I haven't clearly seen yet these papers as I was listening to her speak. Now she's kneeling before me, which is making me more anxious.

"What is this, Clara?! Is- is this the DNA test I had?! Why does it say it's a match for Taehyung??" My eyes widen at what I'm seeing, tears stream down my face as I stare at Clara.

"Clara, answer me!! Is Hyunjin Taehyung's son??! He was for him! I was pregnant for him??" I yelled at her.

Jimin and Namjoon came into my office, with Hyunjin in Jimin's arms. They must be hearing me from the outside, shouting.

"What is happening here, Jin? Why are you on the floor Clara??" Jimin gave Hyunjin to Namjoon and walked towards me and I handed him the papers, my hands are trembling. I wanted to slap Clara, but I know I shouldn't.

"Y-yes, Dr. Min, y-you were pregnant f-for Taehyung-ssi. B-but Mr. Min instructed me to duplicate the papers and change the r-result before giving it to you. H- he threatened me and my f-family, so I did it."

I closed my eyes and cried against my palm. Jimin pulled me into an embrace. I am out of words. How can Yoongi do all these just to manipulate me into staying with him?

"B-but Dr. Min, it- it wasn't Hyunjin. He's Mr. Min's s-son.."

I looked up and turned to her. She is fucking confusing me. She said I was pregnant for Tae. But Hyunjin is Yoongi's?!

I saw Jimin reading thru more of the papers, one that looked like a print out of call logs. "What the fuck are these?!" Jimin asked Clara.

Clara inhaled deeply before she resumed speaking. "Those were the calls I had with Mr. Min and the nurse assigned at the hospital's nursery. Mr. Min had Seojoon replaced with Hyunjin the night Dr. Min gave birth. He wanted them exchanged so Dr. Min would think Hyunjin is his son. With my help, I regret to say."

I looked at my son, Hyunjin, upon hearing what Clara said. Namjoon hugged him tight as my child extends his arm to me, as if asking me to take him from Namjoon. But I just stared at him as I couldn't move from where I am.

"What the fuck!! Hyunjin is Hoseok's??" Jimin yelled. I could barely hear and comprehend everything now. I just cried and stared at Clara.

"Mr. Min's son w-with Hoseok-ssi." Clara nodded as she cried louder. "I'm so sorry, Dr. Min. Seojoon i-is your son with Taehyung-ssi. I'm so s-sorry, I-i'm so sorry.."

I slumped myself on the floor and leaned my back on my table. Jimin leaned down on me and hugged my head into his chest.

"Seojoon is my son, Chim!! How could they do this to me?!! How could they be so evil to me, Chimmm!!!" I cried my heart out at Jimin. I don't know anymore what to believe.

All these years, I have been living a lie. As I try hard to keep my family together, the family I thought was mine, I have been deprived of freedom and the time to be with my real son who needed my love and care. All because I was too foolish to stay with Yoongi.

I pulled back from Jimin and I quickly wiped my tears with my hands. I looked for my phone and saw more missed calls from Hoseok. I then called him back, it took only one ring before he picked up.

"Hoseok?! You are a fucking lying slut!! Give me my son back!!!"

"J-jin, that's why I-I've been calling you!! I-I'm sorry! I can't g-get up.. Y-yoongi was here, he took Seojoon from me. I tried to f-fight but I- I lost Seojoon to him. P-please J-jin. Find him. I'm s-sorry."

"Fuckkk!!" I hit the table hard out of frustration and cried on the line as I listen to Hoseok who's crying out loud too.

Where the fuck will Yoongi take my son?!!
