Wild Heart [Max Verstappen]

Part 6

After 5 hours of sleep I woke up feeling something soft stroking my arm, I slowly opened my eyes and looked straight into Max his eyes. His eyes widened and he immediately stopped stroking my arm with his hand, he was shocked that I woke up and kind of busted him. I chuckled at his face and I stretched myself out "you didn't have to stop" I said still a little sleepy.
"I'm sorry I got dragged away and you looked so peaceful asleep"
"Don't worry, how did you sleep?"
"It was quite good, it's a good bed compared to mine in my hotel"
"Always welcome" I winked and he laughed softly.
"I'm glad you came with Lando, he talked about you all the time. He's so proud of you"
"Oh really?"
"Yeah and I'm glad I got to meet you in person"
"Me too Max" he opened his arms and looked at me. Does he want a cuddle... He does...
I crawl into him and feel how he wraps his arms around me, with my head against his chest I could listen to his heartbeat and it somehow calmed me.
He was playing with my hair as he spoke "Nora?"
"Hmh?" I looked up at him, not realising our faces would be so close to each other.
"Would you like to go out with me sometime?"
"Like a date?"
"Yeah like a proper date, tonight"
"Of course" I whispered with a tone of excitement in my voice, I sat up straight and stretched once again. "Maybe we should get up before they walk in here and have some wrong thoughts"
"That's a smart plan young lady" Max got out of the bed and walked to the door, he looked at me one more time before leaving my room.

I got some clothes out of my suitcase, it would probably be a lazy day today so maybe we would sit at the pool or something. I placed my clothes on my bed and walked out my room still wearing Max his sweater. Everyone was up already and had showered, Max was now in the bathroom so I obviously had to wait.
"Good morning boys"
"Good morning" I heard all the others say
"What are you wearing?" Lando said crossing his arms.
I looked confused and looked down at the sweater
"Oh... Max and I went for a walk while everyone was asleep and it was a little chilly so I could use his sweater"
"Hmh I'm watching you" Lando said and used his hands to point at me.
At that same moment Max walked out of the bathroom so I quickly ran inside to take a nice hot shower. I turned on the shower and put my hair in a bun, I took a quick shower and did my makeup and hair after that.
"Damn it I forgot my clothes" I groaned and wrapped a towel around my body, I opened the door and saw the boys in full conversation with each other debating what they were about to do today. The perfect timing to run to my bedroom for my clothes.
"3...2...1... go" I whispered to myself and ran to my bedroom and close the door right behind me.
"Mission accomplished" I said to myself and got dressed.

There was a knock on the door, one thing was for sure it wasn't Lando. He would've just walked in without knocking and he would be yelling already, that's how I know him. I walked over to the door and opened it secretly expecting it to be Max but it's wasn't, it was Charles.
"Hey what's up?" I asked while I was putting on my shoes.
"Can I ask you something?"
"Yeah sure go ahead" Charles walked in the room and Max was watching us, his smile that was on his face before was gone and had changed into a serious look. I looked at Max one more time before giving Charles my attention, he was already sitting down on the bed so I sat down next to him.
"Is everything okay Charles?"
"Yeah yeah don't worry, how did you sleep?"
"It was quite alright, I hope Lando didn't keep you awake with his snoring"
Charles chuckled "No I was asleep before he was"
"That's good because once he starts snoring there is no way you can let him stop" we both started laughing and I could feel someone was watching since I left the door open. As I looked up I immediately saw that Max was watching us, he probably couldn't hear what we were saying but he was watching that was for sure. I turned my attention back at Charles "What was it you wanted to ask me?"
"Oh yeah well I wanted to ask you out on a date, we could go to a nice restaurant and have dinner"
"Oh I'm flattered Charles but I can't... I already have plans for tonight, I'm really sorry" I couldn't help but feel a little awkward now.
"Oh don't worry Nora we can always do it another time there is no pressure" He said as he stood up, I could hear he was a little disappointed in my answer.
We both walked back to the others who were still debating on what they would do today, only Max wasn't really paying attention until Charles and I returned.

"Aren't you all supposed to meet up with the teams to talk about important stuff? I think I saw that in the agenda" the moment those words left my mouth all 5 heads turned to me and then looked at each other. They all took out their phones and checked their agenda.
"Bloody hell your right" Lando said
"Thanks for reminding us or else we would be dead" Daniel added.
"You all met me yesterday and I'm already saving your asses" I laughed shaking my head "go on then before you guys are late"
"What will you do?" Charles said "I'll enjoy myself today and go to the pool and after that I'll get ready for my plans". We all said goodbye and the 5 guys left the hotelroom, I took a deep breath grabbed my sunglasses and went to the pool of our hotel. The sun was early burning on my skin, but I loved the feeling. I found myself a nice spot to lay down on a chair and enjoy some quality time alone.
