Part 18

On my way back to the hotel I saw the same group still standing at the gate of the hotel.
"I'll see who I can send down!" I yelled to the group as I waved and as response I got cheers. I laughed and walked in and went to the 5th floor and happened to run into Charles and Carlos there.
"Oh perfect that I meet you here, would you maybe have 5 minutes?" I asked with puppy eyes.
"Of course always for you," Charles said, his eyes staring at my lips and then sliding further down my neck and then his face darkened.
"Well there is a small group of great fans at the gate and I may have promised them I was going to send someone down"
Carlos laughed "of course we'll go and have a look"
"Really? Thank you very much"
I gave them both a hug and wanted to walk to my hotel room until a hand grabbed my arm and pulled back against his chest "I have to tell you something, will you have some time for me later?" Charles whispered in my ear. I took a step back "yes when you're done downstairs come knocking" he nodded and left together with Carlos. I continued my way to the hotelroom and decided to get my clothes ready for tonight.

Just before I sat down, I heard a knock on the door. I opened the door and let Charles in "how were the fans?"
"Actually good, very nice people. They praised you"
"That's nice to hear" I laughed and walked to the minibar "would you like a drink?"
"No I can't stay long"
"Oh? Do you have plans?" I asked as I walked to the couch and plopped down in it with Charles next to me.
"Yes and no"
"What do you mean yes and no?"
"I just have to arrange something"
"Hmh what did you want to tell me?"
Charles looked at me confused at first but soon realized what he had said in the hallway.
"Oh well actually I can't say it yet"
"You are so weird, but may I ask you something?"
"You can ask me anything"
"I saw you talking to Ava, what was that about?"
"She suggested to help me"
"Help you? With?"
"Well well... you're so curious"
"I just thought it was a bit weird after what happened with her and Max"
"Don't worry I'm not interested in her, she just wants to help me and I can help her with something"
I laughed and shrugged on "I thought I'd just ask"
Charles looked at his watch and jumped up "I really have to leave now before I'm too late, I'll see you tomorrow or something"
He gave me a kiss on my cheek and left the hotel room, now I could also get ready in peace. I guess Lando and Max won't be gone that long. I looked at the clothes on my bed and got changed into them.

I hummed a song as I scrolled through my phone waiting for Max and Lando to return.
The two sweaty boys came in at that moment and they were laughing and talking. I was glad Lando didn't make a big drama about the situation with Max. Situation... what exactly were we? Lando walked to the bathroom to take a shower and Max looked at me open-mouthed.
"What is it? Is there something wrong?" I looked at the clothes I was wearing to see if I might have spilled something.
"No no you just look really good"
I smiled "I wish I could say the same" I gave him a wink and he walked over to me.
He gave me a quick kiss on my mouth "I'm going to get ready too, I'll see you in 15 minutes, downstairs at the entrance"
"I'll be there"

"Lando I'm out okay? Don't wait up for me!" I yelled so he could hear me in the bathroom. I went down in the elevator and saw Max already waiting for me.
"Have you been here long?"
He shook his head quickly "no of course not don't worry"
Luckily I was wearing heels and I didn't have to stand on the tips of my toes to give him a kiss.
"Let's go"
His gentle hand took mine and our fingers slid perfectly together. We decided to take the back exit so we wouldn't be disturbed. "How was your running session?"
"Actually fine, everything went smoothly and it was a good time for a good conversation"
I nodded "I understand that, running is kind of a therapy"
Max laughed and shrugged his shoulders "I'd rather be lazy"
"Me too, I prefer to watch a movie, nice and cozy on the couch, but no horror movies"
"No, no horror movies for me either"
"No? I thought you were a tough guy"
He looked at me with raised eyebrows "Excuse me"
"You heard me"
"Be careful now young lady"
"Now you're scaring me" I said sarcastically and squeezed his hand.
"You're lucky you're cute"
"Just cute?"
"And much more, but I don't have to tell you that or else your neck will grow."
"Exaggerator"
We both started laughing and walked to a vantage point where you had the most amazing view. It really was a beautiful view and I wasn't just about Max. Full of admiration I enjoyed the view, I could stand here for hours and enjoy it without getting bored. Suddenly I felt Max's body behind me, 2 arms around me and a head on my shoulder. I put my hands on his arms that were wrapped around my waist.
"Do you like the view?"
"I love it Max, how did you know about this spot?"
"I found it last year when I was wandering the streets"
"Thank you for sharing it with me"
"I only share this with special girls"
"Girls... like plural?"
"Why do you always have to make it difficult" he laughed
"I like to make it difficult for you"
He took my hand and turned me to face him, gently rubbed some of the lost hairs that hung on my face to one side and rested his hand on my neck. His thumb gently rubbed my cheek "Would you like to sleep with me tonight?"
"I would love to but not tonight"
He nodded gently "that's okay, next time then"
"Can we stay a little longer?" I whispered as I carefully turned back around.
"Yes, of course whatever you want."
Together we enjoyed the view in silence for a while. A gentle breeze came up and we decided to return to the hotel. We came back to the door of my hotelroom and I gave him a kiss.
"Are you sure you're not sleeping with me?"
For a moment I hesitated but decided to just sleep in my hotelroom "next time".
"Sleep tight then and I'll see you tomorrow after the interviews."
"Sleep tight" He kissed me one more time before he walked to his room. I walked in and saw that Lando was still awake.
"Why are you still awake? You have interviews in the morning"
"I wanted to make sure that you returned properly"
"Aww muppet" I gave him a hug "my little brother want to protect me"
"Shut up" he laughs "anyway now I'm off to bed, goodnight"
"Goodnight!" I yelled and walked towards my bed.

-MAX POV-
After I gave her another kiss I went back to my hotel room. I decided to take a quick shower and then crawl into bed. When I lay in bed I heard my phone go off, I looked at my screen with small eyes.

Hey Max! I just wanted to say thank you for tonight but I need to tell you something...

Max
Is this Nora?
Sure what is it?

Look Max I had fun and all but I can't do this...
You are not who I want and all this was actually a distraction for myself

Completely bewildered I looked at the messages, where the hell is this coming from. Would she want to have revenge for what I had done to her...
That's so low of her, I never expected this from her.
My heart was pounding in my throat and I had to calm myself down. I threw my phone aside and sat up in bed, she'll hear about it tomorrow...
