"Lily, kick it!" A smiling Oliver said, on his knees in the grass a few feet away from the small laughing girl.

"Get it!" She yelled excitedly in that adorable tiny voice of hers as she kicked the little inflatable ball to him as hard as she could (which, as a 3-year-old, wasn't very hard).

Catching it in his hands, he beamed even brighter, "good job, sweetheart!"

This made her close her eyes with a giggle as she sprinted to the man with open arms and dimples plain as day on both of them. As she ran into his body, he wrapped his arms tightly around her tiny figure and showered her face in quick kisses that made her squeal with a laugh and try to push him away.

"Daddy, that tickles!" She squeaks out between giggles, trying to escape his arms, where he held her close with a grin.

Securing her, Oliver moved to stand carefully, the little girl sitting safely in his arms. She wiggled a bit, reaching over to his face and swiping off his glasses with her small chubby hands.

"Hey!" He glared at her playfully as she planted them on her own face with her tongue stuck out at him.

Suddenly looking behind his blond head, she waves both arms with a beaming smile, "look, mommy!! I look just like daddy!"

This makes Oliver turn, seeing his very own wife standing there with a loving smile at the two as she chuckles, "yes you do, honey. You look just like your father, with your hair and those adorable little dimples."

She stepped closer, pressing a gentle finger to the giggling girl's nose as she grins a bit more widely, glancing at her husband, "which explains why you're so cute."

Oliver gives a slight roll of the eyes at this, also speaking to the child as he stole his glasses back, "but you got your mommy's eyes and her little button nose, I think you look just like your beautiful mother."

Sara chuckles again with a small shake of her head, "don't stay out here too much longer, I'm making lunch soon. It's your favorite, Lily!"

The young girl gasped excitedly, "dino nuggets?!"

"Dino nuggets." Her mother smiled.

A small strained groan comes from the girl's father as he puts her down, "you're gonna be too big for me to carry you soon!"

"Nooo!" She said, looking up with sad eyes, only for Oliver to laugh back down at her, "yesssss! You're gonna be a big girl before we know it and you won't want me to carry you anymore!"

For a moment she's quiet, appearing to be thinking until a smile grows back on her face, "you'll always be my daddy, though!"

With that she runs off to play with one of the various toys littered throughout the yard, Sara stepping back forward and putting a hand on his shoulder, speaking lovingly, "you really are a great dad, you know that?"

"Because I have a beyond-incredible mom by my side," he smiles, wrapping an arm around her waist as she leans her head against his shoulder and the two watch their child sit in the grass, talking to herself and making dramatic noises as she plays with an action figure.

The redhead laughs to herself as the small girl flops her back onto the grass in a pretend explosion, looking up to see Oliver already looking down at her with a warm and loving smile. She grins back before leaning up and kissing his lips.

Before they could pull away, however, they're cut off with a yell from Lily, who had sat up once more, "ewww, cooties!!"

They break apart and look down at her as she giggles, only for Oliver to rush over and pick her up under her arms, tickling her once she's safely in his hold. She squeals and squirms for a moment until Sara swipes her from the blond's arms with Lily's just-as-blond hair bouncing. Almost as soon as she had gotten her, she sat her back down onto the grass, sitting down in front of her. Oliver sat right down as well, still smiling.

"So Lily," the woman starts, looking down at her happily and getting such an innocently cheerful voice asking back, "yeah?"

"Wanna know a surprise?" Sara asks, briefly glancing up at Oliver with a grin.

He raises an eyebrow as the little girl says excitedly, "what??"

"In a little bit less than a year, you're gonna be a big sister, Lily!" She exclaims, taking hold of her tiny hands as Oliver's eyes widen and the blond girl gasps in happiness, "really?!"

"Mhm!" Sara nods with a wide smile, finally looking up at her husband and his shocked face.

After a moment he tries to form words, "y-you- I- w-we- WE'RE HAVING ANOTHER BABY?!"

She nods at him as she bites her lip to hold back the smile slightly, "surprise...!"

Once he processes this he breaks out in a huge grin, quickly standing and scooping up his ginger wife from the ground as she makes a yelp of surprise and holds onto him tightly from where she was cradled in his arms.

"I'M GONNA BE A DAD AGAIN!" He shouts, hugging her close as he tears up a moment later, pressing his forehead against hers.

She laughs with tears in her eyes as he says quietly, "how long have you known? H-How far in are you?"

"I found out a week or two ago, I'm not sure how far in I am yet, I still need to go to the doctor," she chuckles softly, tears beginning to roll from her eyes while he sets her carefully back down, immediately pulling her in a tight hug.

As soon as they pull apart he crouches down and leans a gentle hand against her stomach over her shirt, looking up at her with emotional eyes and a disbelieving smile, "there's a little person growing in here?"

She gives a small laugh with a nod and a hand over her mouth hiding happy sobs, "that's our little person growing in there, Oliver."

He stays looking where his hand is laid for another moment, rubbing gently and murmuring, "I can't believe I'm gonna be a dad again..."

"I can't believe you're gonna be a mom again," he says just as quietly as he stands again and hugs her once more.

"Daddy!" Lily's voice calls again, and the moment he turns she throws the ball back by his feet once more, "will I be able to play with the baby??"

"Not until they're big enough, honey," Sara says as she wipes her eyes, still smiling, "you're gonna be a great big sister, Lily."

Her smile falls for a second upon hearing that she'd have to wait, only for Oliver to kick the ball back to her, smiling and wiping his own tears too, "until the new baby's big enough, you can always still play with me."
