Cuddle Time

"Mmmm, I love cuddle time," Sara murmured softly into the back of the crook of Oliver's neck with him in the space of the little spoon for once.

"Me too," he mutters back, relaxed, and it's obvious even when she can't see him that he's smiling, just by the energy in his response as he shuffles, snuggling deeper into her and into the cozy mattress under the blankets.

Sara gives a happy sigh into his soft, golden hair as she hugs him between her arms, with him holding the hands dangling over his torso near his chest. After a few more seconds he flips, looking at her face with gentle eyes and a soft, loving smile that she returns with a small giggle. This time he hugs her close into him, and she's quick to bury her face into the area where his neck met his collarbones, giving a relaxed hum as he runs his fingers carefully through her fluffy ginger hair with his lips hovering near the top of her head while a small smile peeks at the corners.

After a minute her slow breathing matches Oliver's as they've both nearly dozed off. She pulls her face from his upper chest again, laying her head back down in just front of his drowsy features, both of them lazily opening their tired eyes. He smiles sleepily, Sara returning it before leaning in and giving a soft and gentle kiss that he returns lovingly, only lasting for a few short moments before she pulls back with a quiet chuckle, pressing her forehead against his lightly as they close their eyes once more.

Holding each other close with unconscious smiles tickling at their lips, they slowly drift off to sleep, peaceful and content with lingering butterflies and loving thoughts of one another going unspoken, though felt through their matching heartbeats.

I know this is suuuuper short but I hope you liked the little bit of wholesome fluff since I wrote this as a self-indulgence comfort fic with a totally different idea originally that somehow turned into this. Y'know what, I ain't even mad about it, this is adorable and it's filling the void of missing TKB and everything we haven't yet gotten.

I am touch starved and would like cuddles. That is all.
