Throughout that night, though it was one of the most restful nights of sleep Sara Lin had ever gotten, that didn't stop her from waking up multiple times through the night. She found, the second time, that Oliver was no longer wrapped around her, but leaned away with one of his legs thrown over hers instead. The girl stifled a laugh at that but allowed it to happen comfortably as she cozied up once more, falling back asleep.
At one point in the early hours of the morning, she lazily opened her eyes for yet another brief wakeup, only to see the boy beside her doing the exact same at the same time, his leg now back at his own side. Both of them seemed to wake up just a little more upon noticing one another, making Sara giggle slightly.
"Hi there," she said playfully with a grin, him giving a short chuckle back, "hi."
As if they had exchanged some sort of unspoken communication, they both shuffled closer to the center of the bed at the same time, him wrapping his arm around her once more. However, this time there were only mere inches left between their faces, for rather than going immediately back to their previous position, they laid instead with foreheads gently pressed together. Every few seconds their eyes would flicker open for a moment or two, just to observe the other for a little bit. Once or twice they would open their eyes and sneak a peek at the same time, making exceptionally close eye contact, bringing small laughs from either of them.
Soon enough, as nice as it was to be so close in such a way, Sara began growing uncomfortable once more, wordlessly flipping and cuddling her back into his front. Once more, the blond cozied his face into the crown of her head, taking a deep breath in, savoring the pleasant scent before exhaling slowly. Feeling the soft brush of his breath just tracing her neck, she suppressed the chill that she knew was running through her, though the electricity beneath her skin couldn't be stopped. She only leaned in closer, tensing before relaxing, almost in a way of reassurance similar to the effect of if she were to squeeze his hand.
Within a few minutes, the girl had mostly drifted off but was still only just barely awake by the smallest bit, when she felt a gentle sort of touch on her hair. Had he just.... Kissed the top of her head? The thought made her blush heavily, though she tried not to show that she was awake for fear of embarrassing the boy. Rather, she let a small smile slip to herself and closed her eyes, drifting back off to sleep.
The next time she awoke, without moving out of his arms, she reached to the bedside table and picked up her phone that had been charging through the night. As she pressed the power button, the device brightly flashed 8:32 AM, leading her to set it back down. With that, she slipped out of Oliver's gentle hold, sitting up and stretching with a yawn.
Patrick, who had already been awake, glanced over, "finally someone's awake. I've been up for like, three hours. How was spooning with the grumpy cat?"
Though he had looked back away she could still practically see the smirk he held on his face as her blush brightened, "shut up... If you have to know, it was kinda incredible."
He shrugged, "hey, I'm not judging. He finally got you to shut up about wanting affection so much, so it's fine by me."
The girl huffed, crossing her arms before letting them fall and stretching once more. It's not long after this that she hears the boy at her side stirring, glancing over and behind her to see him opening his eyes once more. He blinks a few times, adjusting to the light before reaching over and grabbing the glasses that laid beside her phone.
"Good morning," Sara said softly with a smile to him, and she could've sworn that she saw his face flush slightly pink as he muttered back a sleepy, "'morning."
Within a few minutes, everyone was soon awake enough to hold a conversation, observing as Patrick played some game on his laptop that he hooked to the TV (dragged into her room courtesy of her father from his room, who she had thanked profusely). Every so often he'd make amused or frustrated commentary, making the others laugh. At this point Oliver was laying more sideways at the head of the bed, resting on his back, leaning slightly on his side to observe the television as the brunette worked his way through the level.
