"So, what do you think?" Sara stepped into the living room of the Yang's apartment from the bathroom where she had been getting ready and did a quick spin as she smiled at her boyfriend from across the room.

Looking up at her, a small smile formed as a light blush grew on Oliver's face when he saw her, all dressed up in her floor-length purple dress with her now-shoulder-length hair styled with gentle fluffy curls perfectly suited to her. He took a few steps towards her, grabbing her waist softly and pulling her in, settling his hands onto her hips.

He spoke back in response to the girl, his eyes soft and voice loving, "you look beautiful, as always," making her giggle with her hands draped around his neck.

"Why thank you," she replied laughing slightly.

Sighing, Sara brought her hands down and removed Oliver's hands from her much to both of their dismay, telling him, "come on, we've gotta finish getting ready. You still need to get your tie and shoes on and I still need to do a few last touch-ups."

Turning back around, the boy quickly grabbed his tie and placed it under the collar of his shirt in preparation to tie it. The second his hands moved to begin making the knot, he hesitated, struggling to remember how to do it when Sara stepped back out of the bathroom.

Immediately noticing him having trouble, she chuckled a bit, "looks like I've gotta do your tie again just like last year," she said fondly, remembering the year prior when she had helped him in her room after running late.

However, this year the only people Oliver and Sara were waiting on were themselves. Joe, Vicky, Patrick and Sara had all graduated, leaving Oliver the only senior going to his prom this year, but with Sara as his date she was permitted to go as well. After she had graduated, the redheaded girl had decided to attend a community college and stay at home rather than move somewhere else for college, which had worked perfectly for her and Oliver's relationship formed during their last prom since they remained only just across the hall from each other.

Finishing up the knot, Sara stepped back and admired him, Oliver doing the same with her. After a moment both of them turned to finish getting ready, slipping on their shoes before stepping over towards the door hand in hand. Knowing they would never be forgiven if they didn't, they stepped into the apartment across the hall to find Mr. Lin leaning against the kitchen counter with his phone at the ready for photos. A few minutes of pictures later, Sara and Oliver exited the apartment after saying a quick goodbye to the girl's father.

This year, unlike the last, they were stuck walking to the school rather than driving since Joe had moved about an hour away for school. Sara had known this would be the case so she made sure to go with more comfortable shoes than the heels she had worn the previous year, Oliver, however, not worried since his dress shoes were already pretty comfortable.

As they walked, their arms were linked together and they spent a lot of the time making jokes and discussing memories with one another, making the walk feel even shorter than the 15 minutes it took. Walking through the parking lot, Sara giggled a bit, turning to Oliver.

"At least the one good part of not travelling by car is that I can't get stuck in the seatbelt again, and you can't bump your head," she said while laughing.

Oliver jokingly touched the top of his head, "I think I can still feel the bruise."

She nudged him gently as they walked into the gym after presenting their tickets at the door. After finding a small table, Sara set down her small purse she brought with her and layed her cardigan over it. She paused for a minute, staring out at the people on the dance floor being a little bit sad to not see any of the familiar faces of her other friends, though smiling, happy to be there.
