“HELLOOOOOO?!?” A frantic voice was heard yelling, confusing the Yang boys from inside their apartment.

The two looked at each other with matching puzzled expressions as the screams were heard again, “CAN ANYONE HEAR ME?! I’M STUCKKKKKK-”

“Shoot, that sounds like Sara-!” Oliver said, his eyes widening as he scrambled out of the chair by the desk.

Sliding on the hardwood floor, the boy only just barely avoided face-planting on the ground as he basically flew out the door. He heard the girl calling again as he looked back and forth in the hall, only to realize it was coming from the elevator.

“Sara! Are you okay?! What happened?” The blond yelled, banging his hand on the door.

“Oliver!” Her muffled voice called, “oh thank god, I was worried no one would hear! I-I’m stuck in here! It stopped and I tried to get out like always but i-it won’t open!”

Joe followed closely behind, seeing his brother standing in front of the door wide-eyed and hearing Sara Lin’s panicked voice speaking, “hey, hey, what’s going on?!”

“She’s stuck, Joe, you need to get help, call the fire department or something, she can’t get out and it sounds like she’s about to have a panic attack or something,” Oliver’s head whipped to face his older brother, getting an instant nod as he sped back into the apartment.

“Hey, Sara, listen, listen to me it’s okay, Joe’s getting help and it’ll be okay. They’re gonna get you out and everything will be fine, right now you just need to calm down,” he said, turning back to face the door.

She, however, still sounds anxious, “O-Oliver, I’m terrified, I don’t have my phone and my dad isn’t even home, he’s working and I didn’t think anyone would find me, a-and the old emergency button in here doesn’t even work anymore.”

“I know, I know Sara, it’ll be okay though, you’re gonna get out soon,” the older boy tries to calm her down, “just sit down and talk to me, just breathe, you’re okay now.”

“I can see why you’re claustrophobic….” She quiets to the point that he can barely hear her as both of them sit at the same time, his face softening, “I know it’s scary… You just need to breathe, okay? Nice and slow. I’m right here on the other side of the door and I’m not gonna leave until help gets here.”

“Okay…. Okay… That’s helping,” the redhead says after a moment, sounding noticeably calmer.

“Good… Just talk to me. What are you gonna do once you get out?” He asks, hoping to keep her distracted enough that she wouldn’t begin to panic again.

She’s silent for a second, a blush unbeknownst to Oliver covering her face as she looks down and murmurs just loud enough for him to hear, “probably like, tackle hug you….”

For a moment he goes quiet as well, cheeks turning pink until he glances back to the door, “....Will it make you feel better?”

“Yeah, I think so… Somehow you’re always really good at comforting me, making me feel better, even when I’m not, y’know, trapped in an elevator….” A small chuckle sounds with her words as she pushes a loose strand of hair behind her hair.

This renders Oliver temporarily speechless. He comforted her? Made her feel better in other moments outside of this one?

“How?” He finds himself asking the girl, genuinely curious of his effect on her.

“I don’t really know,” Sara says back, thinking about it, “I guess ‘cause you help me, y’know, like, other than math stuff you’ve given me a lot of practical life advice and even talked about things you had no interest in, like stupid boy issues…. You’re just really calm most of the time and I guess it kinda rubs off on my energy when I’m stressed.”
