"Can I tell you something...?" Oliver asks the girl at his side, suddenly breaking the silence of both of them sitting on her bed simply enjoying each other's company.

She looks over and smiles, "Always! What's up?"

He looked down to where her hand laid on the sheets, clearly not wanting to look her in the eyes at the moment. This confused Sara, and though it was most likely wishful thinking, she could've sworn that she saw his cheeks go slightly red as he looked down. The boy, quite honestly, seemed to almost regret saying anything, hesitating with visibly tense body language.

"Hey," She says with a voice gentle and soft as silk, loving as she gave him a comforting smile and scooted her hand over to just barely brush their fingertips against each other, "Whatever it is, I won't be mad, okay? Just take a moment and breathe and just talk to me, hm? It's only me, you know you can trust me."

A small sigh escapes his lips after a moment, and he warily smiles back, "I guess it's not that I think you'll be mad... More so that I think you may be weirded out or.... Maybe just feel uncomfortable around me afterwards."

"Oliver, you're one of the best friends I've ever had and you're really important to me, I'm not gonna let that fall apart over whatever you need to say. You aren't losing me, no matter what it is," She reassured him.

His anxious smile widens a little bit before faltering as he looks back down to his lap and pulls his hand away, undeniably blushing profusely, "I-It's just that.... I, um... W-Well, I uh...-"

"Take your time," she tells him, "we have all day."

A weary smile and a sharp exhale, "I-I like you... Like, I have a crush on you, and have for a while."

For a moment the ginger froze, her eyes widening in surprise and her lips slightly parting as she took a moment to process the information. If you had asked her, she'd have told you her face felt as though it was on fire and most likely looked it too as he glanced back up at her. His eyes show obvious nerves for her response to this, and after a moment she smiled, looking down briefly with a soft chuckle.

Meeting his eyes once again, "You don't know how long I've waited to hear that, Oliver."

The blond's face flashes with shock and confusion, "Huh?"

She looked down to where his fingers laid on his leg and reclaimed his hand into her own with a grin, "I've wanted to hear you say that for... Months now, honestly...."

"So...-?" He begins, but just as quickly trails off, making the girl giggle slightly, "Yes, Oliver, that means I feel the same. I've liked you for a long time, longer than I care to admit, to be honest."

Shuffling closer, Sara pressed her leg against his, still looking at him with their faces now intimidatingly close together. She squeezed his hand reassuringly as the smile widened, and he seemed to be unwittingly leaning their faces closer together.

This makes her chuckle slightly as she found herself drawn closer to him as well, but mere seconds before either of them would've gone in for the kiss, she regained some semblance of control, and placed gentle fingertips on his lips and pulled away slightly, though the smile didn't falter. Oliver's, however, fell immediately, and Sara could practically feel his heart drop through all four floors of the apartment building.

Before he could spit out a panicked apology she spoke up quickly, laughing a slight bit as she removed her fingers from his, "Please don't freak out, I wanted it too. I didn't mean to give you a heart attack, I just kinda want to talk about something before anything happens, just while I'm still coherent enough to not completely abandon my morals."
