With several sickening pops breaking the silence, Sara Lin cringed, pulling out her earbuds and giving a disgusted glance at Oliver, "I can hear your knuckles through my music and I'm literally blasting it at full volume!"
The blond smirks, cracking his knuckles yet again, making the older girl visibly recoil, "Stop, you know I hate knuckle cracking! Why are your fingers so loud?! It's unnatural!!"
"I drink a lot of milk, I've got strong bones," he jokes, straightening his posture and holding out a finger, "hold on a moment...."
And with this, despite her better judgement, Sara waited, trying to brace herself for what was to come as he began to roll his neck. Turning it to either side, two strangely loud series of pops are heard, the boy then tugging on his shoulders to crack them too.
The ginger puts hands over her ears, groaning with revulsion, "Stopppp! That's so gross!!"
And finally, he puts his hands behind him, pressing against his spine and straightening out his back, deep cracks echoing out from beneath the hoodie he was wearing, making Sara hum as she reveled in her squeamishness.
Oliver scoots closer to the girl who had been sitting on the couch beside him, teasing, "You know you love me, gross body cracking and all."
"I can't agree that I love the gross body cracking, but I do love you." She affirms, rolling her eyes slightly as a smile peeks through her lips.
The boy takes her hand nearest to him, pulling it up to his face and giving a gentle kiss on top of her knuckles. However, before she can pay too much attention, he brings up his other hand, and before the girl would even manage to get out a single word of protest, he took one of her fingers, and quickly cracked it, making her yelp. She yanked her hand away, and in a fit of fury, began to unleash a flurry of smacks on his upper arm as he burst out laughing uncontrollably.
"I. HATE. YOU." She exclaimed, continuing to bat at the boy.
Soon enough, she calmed enough to stop whacking him, pouting angrily as she crossed her arms.
Once more, Oliver scoots closer, asking with a grin, "Would you forgive me if I made you a hot chocolate?"
Eyeing him up and down, after a moment she replies, "....Mayhaps."
His smile widens a little, and as he goes to stand, he gently takes her face into his hands, pulling her close enough to plant a small kiss on her forehead before going off to the kitchen to make the girl's hot chocolate, as promised.
And though she would gratefully accept a hot chocolate in a heartbeat, both of the two knew that Sara Lin could never truly stay mad at Oliver Yang, even with his gross body cracking and all.
