"How many festivals does this school have?" Oliver asked a smiling Sara with Joe by his side as they met in the hallway between their apartments.

"Who knows!" She threw her arms up in dramatic confusion with a giggle, making Joe smile and Oliver shake his head with a small grin.

As they started walking towards the school, Sara in the middle with one of the boys on either side of her, she grabbed one of both of the boys' hands and raised them up into the air, yelling out excitedly, "THIS IS GONNA BE AWESOME!!"

Once she put them down, she didn't let go on her own, not thinking much of it as she kept on smiling. Though Joe was fine with it and didn't care all that much, Oliver's heart was racing and he could feel his palms starting to sweat as he tried to calmly but quickly remove his hand from hers, leaving only Sara and Joe casually holding hands, in an entirely friendly way, of course. Feeling the warmth of Oliver's hand let go of hers, she looked at him in confusion, with a look essentially asking if everything was okay without saying the words.

Simply looking away from her awkwardly, Sara was saddened slightly as she looked away as well, wondering if it was something she had done. She let go of Joe's hand and placed hers into her pocket, wondering what was wrong. Joe was left the odd one out as usual, not understanding what was going on.

Glancing back over to Oliver, still looking tense, she said quietly, "sorry about that, I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable if that's what it is."

He looked back to her, his expression relaxing, "it's fine, I shouldn't have been weird about it."

Smiling again, "don't worry about it, I get it," then speaking once again at full volume, "today's still gonna be great!!!!"

Walking through the gates decorated with fake spiderwebs and pumpkins sitting at the bases, they found more of a carnival-type event than the last school festival, more games than school-related booths, even with a small ferris wheel on one side.

"YO, SARA LIN, SUBWAY BOY, JOE, OVER HERE!" A certain boisterous brunette in a backwards hat called loudly from a distance with Vicky by his side, her hands covering her face in embarrassment, bringing attention to both parties.

Hearing him, she went pink, embarrassed at the people staring at them confused as she facepalmed, Oliver sighing, not surprised but not happy about it. They walked over to the others, and said their hellos before they began wandering around together. Joe was not-so-subtly trying to get closer to Vicky, who just looked down at her feet blushing, and all Oliver could do upon noticing this was sigh and smile as he shook his head a bit. He was happy that his brother was having his chance with the girl he really liked, but he also frowned a bit as he looked down, wishing he could have the same chance.

The ginger girl beside him could feel the atmosphere shift, and on instinct looked at him, this time verbally asking if he was alright, and without looking back to her he simply mumbled in response, "yeah, I'm okay."

"Is it Joe and Vicky?" She asked quietly in sympathy with a small smile, and when he nodded awkwardly, going red, she chuckled back, "I feel ya, I'm happy they're kinda finding each other but geez they make me feel lonely!"

This made Oliver laugh, ending up with both of them giggling at what appeared to outsiders as some kind of inside joke. Hearing them laugh, Joe turned to look at the two that were a bit behind the others, smiling upon the sight as he nudged Vicky and nodded to them, making her subtly turn her head as well.

She looked back to Joe as they grinned at each other, Vicky saying quietly so they didn't hear, "those two were made for each other, shame they're so oblivious."
