"Come onnnn, Oliver!" Sara groans in annoyance.

The addressed boy, however, stands firm, "no, Sara. We are not skipping tutoring. You don't have an emergency or some reason not to, and you made this appointment with me. We're following through."

A frustrated "ughhhh" leaves the girl's lips as she looks down in defeat.

"I'll buy you a tea if you take me to the coffee shop down the street!" She tried to bargain, remembering that he had said he doesn't like coffee, getting a slight glare from him.

As she grows more agitated, her pleas grow more ridiculous, "I'll buy you tea every day for a week!"

"Why do you want to skip so bad?" Oliver asks in slight irritation at her incessant begging.

Another groan, "I just really don't have the motivation. I'm running on like, two hours of sleep and I just know I'll only get frustrated. I just want a hot chocolate right now.... Can we please just skip one day? One? And then I'll never ask you again."

The taller boy remains quiet for a moment, but not a commanding silence, making Sara grow hopeful. He gives a sigh and looks down at her desperate eyes.

"Let's go to the cafe," he says, walking past their classroom towards the exit.

She stops in her tracks with wide eyes, not actually expecting him to give in, only for him to turn and call, "if you want to go, you better get over here and do it before I change my mind."

"You're the best, Oliver!" She squeals excitedly, running up and tackling in a hug, making him blush, "what the- S-Sara, off! This is completely inappropriate, right now you're still my student since we're on tutoring time!"

With that, she lets go, chuckling an embarrassed "sorry..."

"What happened to running on two hours of sleep, Sara Lin?" He asks sarcastically as she skips down the street.

The ginger gives him a smile, "adrenaline! I didn't think you'd say yes, so.... I got excited!"

A moment later she seems to slow slightly, "whoo, it's wearing off now..."

He rolls his eyes with a slight snicker at the silliness, her slowing her pace and ending up back by his side. Soon enough they end up right outside of the cafe Sara had been begging to go to for days, and Oliver, never having been there, had to admit that it was quite the nice, calm environment. Honestly, he didn't doubt that he'd be more than willing to come back in the future, with the quiet atmosphere, perfect for an introverted individual like himself.

They walk inside together, the girl speaking cheerfully to the barista behind the counter, "one medium hot chocolate with extra whipped cream and... You said iced green tea was your favorite, Oliver?"

"Yeah, you got it," he says in mild surprise that she had even remembered such a small detail of a passing time-filler conversation from months ago.

"One medium iced green tea, please," she finishes after turning back to the girl that wasn't much older than them.

"That's six-forty nine, what's the name?" The girl behind the counter said, smiling more genuinely upon noticing Sara's infectious positive energy.

"Ah, it's for Sara Lin. Thank you!" She grins, and at this the girl pulls her wallet from her backpack that had been over her shoulders, handing the money to her and putting a dollar in the tip jar as well.

The two walk to an empty nearby table while waiting for their order to be ready, sitting down and listening to the faint music softly playing, relaxing. A small content sigh passes through Sara's lips as he looks up at Oliver with those shining amber eyes that held such visible traces of happiness.

"Thanks for finally letting us skip for a coffee date," she giggles playfully at him with a small grin.

He coughs slightly, face going red, "u-um, skip for a what now?"

"A coffee date!" She laughs again, and upon seeing his flustered face, "I'm just playing, I'm just playing.... I know it's inappropriate during tutoring hours..."

She then glances back up with a teasing tone and expression, "I mean... Unless you wish I wasn't playing..."

Watching his face go a deep scarlet as he stammers, trying to come up with a response, she chuckles. As if coming right to the boy's rescue, Sara's name was called just then, making her stand up and look at him one last time with mischievous eyes before getting their drinks. She thanks the barista once more before walking back, seeing him shake off the flusteredness as she sits his tea in front of them. He immediately takes it and begins sipping at the cool liquid in an attempt to chill his fiery face.

Once he manages to calm himself, he glances down towards his bag, "coffee date, huh?"

"Hehe, yep!" She chuckles, only for him to look back up while his hand reaches down, "well, I'm sorry to disappoint you....."

The older girl tilts her head at this, only to be cut off with the loud slam of a book being placed down forcefully. A math book, to be specific. She's suddenly flooded with dread and mild annoyance as she looks at the boy's smirking face.

"....Because this is a study date. Not a coffee date," he finishes with a cheeky grin, obviously very proud of himself.

Sara pulls the book in and opens it reluctantly before she mutters to herself with a pout forming on her face, "at least I have hot chocolate...."
