"Hey, hey, what's wrong, Sara? Wake up, you're having a bad dream," she opens her eyes to a concerned voice and a hand shaking her shoulder, the sky outside still dark with the bedside lamp turned on.
The girl realizes her face is soaked and finds herself choking out sobs as she sits up, remembering the dream she had awoken from, hearing Oliver from beside her, "hey, c'mere, it's okay, everything's okay."
She let herself find her way into his arms as he tried to comfort her, murmuring sweet nothings into her ear as she attempted to calm herself.
"What were you dreaming about?" He asks gently, still holding the petite girl.
Embarrassed, she replies quietly through the tears, "I-I dreamt that you cheated on me.... With some taller, smarter, prettier girl that was actually the same age as you, a-and you left me...."
"Oh, Sara...." He says, sounding like the words had broken his heart, "that's not gonna happen, I'm right here with you.... I love you for you and no one else, it was just a dream, Sara."
"But oh my gosh, it hurts," she choked, another sob hiccuping through her throat as she clung onto him so tightly, "w-what if it did happen though? I-I'm so clingy a-and I overthink so much, and there are so many girls that are s-so much prettier and smarter and you could have basically any girl you want with how many I've heard say they think you're cute, and it took me so long to even realize my feelings, and I-I'm so obsessive about us that I think about us having a future and a family w-when we're still just kids, a-and-"
"Hey, hey, you stop that," he says gently, though firmly as he takes Sara's shoulders and leans her red and teary face out from his chest to look at his serious eyes, "I am not leaving you. You are the perfect girl for me and I love you so much, I don't want any of those girls, I want you. You are so beautiful and kind-hearted and so loving, and you might be physically clingy and affectionate when we're together, but I love it. I love hugging you and holding you and sleeping with you by my side and spending lots of time with you and everything we do with that clinginess. Physical touch is your love language and I'm more than happy to be right there with you and give it. Even with the clinginess you still give me total privacy and all of your trust and you actively want me to go out and live life and do things even when you're not with me or can't be with me, and I love you for that. I think about us having a future too, Sara, I can see us having so many experiences and making so many memories, I can see you in the most beautiful wedding dress walking down the aisle and saying 'I do' with me, I can see you holding our child and showering them in love and support no matter what they're going through just because you're such a loving, caring person and you'd be the best mother. I see us together through everything, I do...."
"R-Really?" She murmurs quietly with sad eyes, and he nods with a soft smile, "of course."
"You're the one for me, I don't want you to forget that, I don't know what your dream meant but you know I'd never cheat and I'd never leave you," he says gently, pulling her back in and holding her trembling body close.
The ginger sniffs with a chuckle, "not even for Sky?"
"Hey, let that go now. That was all before you came around in my life, there are no remaining feelings there, she was my number one support when I was trying to win you over, I only told you I ever liked her because I thought you had a right to know since she's still in my life. It all makes no impact and means nothing anymore, that's all gone, she's more of a friend and wingman than anything now," he reassures, making the girl laugh slightly, "you didn't need a wingman, even if it took me way too long to realize it, you've had my heart ever since that night at the subway."
"And that's something I'm never letting go," he says softly.
Smiling slightly, she goes to wipe her face with uncontrollable tears still rolling down until he stops her hand, "hey, that's my job, let me."
As Oliver readjusts to be holding Sara's hand rather than stopping it, he leans into her face and kisses the loose tears away, getting a giggle from her. He then reaches in and holds her red face gently, swiping a thumb to rub the rest of the tears off. She fully smiles despite the slight ache in her chest, getting a smile back from him.
"That's the smile I want to see," he grins slightly and watches as the older girl chuckles, looking down shyly while he murmurs, "it's still early, let's go back to sleep."
They lay back down together and face each other, faces only inches apart, her now much more at ease, though she says, still slightly sad, "it still hurts... That dream just... Felt so real. I'm sure I'll get over it, but I just want you to know I really love you. You always know how to make me feel better, at least I know it was all just a dream and will only ever be a dream now."
"Making you feel better is what I'm here for," he says while looking at her puffy eyes with a face full of love, "you always do it for me too."
"When I get scared you always seem to be right there to come to my rescue and reassure me about everything, no matter how many times I get worried about the same thing," she chuckled, glancing down.
"I want you to feel safe and loved, like this can last and make it," he smiles, "I mean, it can, after all. I want it to and you want it to, so it will."
For a moment Sara watches his face in silence and sees no trace of insincerity, "you really think we'll get to say 'I do?'"
"I hope so, I wanna see you in your beautiful dress with your hair and makeup done up for our special day while you're trying not to cry and ruin it, because it's all just so perfect and emotional, while I'm already tearing up seeing you and knowing we're about to be married...." He speaks slowly and softly before continuing, "I wanna have our first kiss as husband and wife, have our first dance, go on a honeymoon, have a family.... Live life together, stay with one another forever," he says with such certainty that she can picture all of it so vividly with no doubt.
The ginger girl starts tearing up again, but happy tears this time as she leans in and kisses him for a moment before looking at him with hope, teasing despite the emotional shake to her voice, "well, future husband, will it be Sara Yang or Oliver Lin?"
"I think I like Oliver Lin right now," he smiles again, "it'll remind me that I'm yours forever."
"Does that mean I have to do the proposal?" She grinned, only for him to speak immediately, suddenly taking it more seriously, "no. I'm doing that. I'm going to propose to you someday when the time is right."
The girl giggled, "I suppose I'll hold off on ring-searching then."
"Perfect," he says quietly with a smile.
With that, she flips around and cuddles her back into his chest where he holds an arm around her. Naturally, after that, she found herself sleeping much more peacefully, encompassed in warmth and love that neither of them could see fading.

Hey y'all!
I actually wrote this a couple of days ago, back on Day 11, and it was actually one to keep for myself and not post! I just saw the prompt for today and all it took was a few edits and changes and bam, I was able to post it! It was nice to be able to get another day ahead so easily! I feel a little bit iffy about how this one came out, this feels really inaccurate to the characters, but what the heck, it's cute lollll.Anyway, please leave any ideas, prompts, thoughts, or constructive criticism in the comments, I love hearing your feedback!
