Matt's POV: Once I finished making us some breakfast, I smiled when I came into the bedroom with some plates as well as two cups of coffee. Gabby then looked at me when she smelled the coffee. "Oh babe, you didn't make coffee did you?" I then looked at her. "Oh shit, I am sorry Gabby. I didn't even think about that. Pregnancy and coffee don't go together." Gabby then looked at me. "Then enjoy your last few cups. When you are done with those bags...you are done until I am done breastfeeding the baby, if we get that far." Going to give her the food, I then went to sit down next to her and grabbed her hand. "Hey, not if...when we get that far."

Intertwining our fingers, I looked at Gabby. "How are you so certain that we are going to go that far Matt?" I then smiled at her. "Because the only other time I felt this certain about something, was when I asked you to marry me." Gabby smiled when I said that. "Which time?" I smiled when she said that before going to kiss her softly. Pulling away after that, I went to sit in bed next to her and then went to grab a blanket to cover us up. "Listen, we need to talk about some things today." Gabby then looked at me worried. "Like?" I then smiled at her. "Just fun stuff. Like, do we need to decorate for Christmas this year or are you okay with not decorating?"

Gabby then looked at me and laughed. "If anything, I think we need to find a new place. I mean listen, of course I love the appartment...I just don't want to do it here." I was confused when she said that. "Gabby, this was our marital home. It still is the home where we have made all of our memories as husband and wife so far. Why do you want to move?" Gabby then sighed and looked at me. She then went to lay down on my chest and I just wrapped my arms around her. "Hey, you okay Gabby?" Gabby then sighed and kissed my chest. "Louie."

I then thought about what she said and nodded. "Oh god, that's right. This is where we took care of Louie for a while. That would be hard on you eh? To have to raise our child in the same place where we almost raised him together?" Gabby nodded as she held me close. I then went to grab the fork and went to feed her breakfast. "Listen, you need to eat so here's some food." Gabby nodded when I said that before going to take a bite of the food I gave her. "Can I tell you something?" I nodded and looked at her. "Always." Gabby then sighed. "This is why I really want the pregnancy. Seeing you be a dad with Louie...it was something that was so precious."

I nodded and went to rub her back. "I know that this baby will never replace the love we had for him because he will always have a place in our heart, just like our first baby...but you were so good with him. The way you played with him, talked to him...and just your kind heart when it comes to kids. That's why I want this so bad for you. I mean yes, it's for me but...it's for you too Matt. As much as I need this, you need it too. You need a kid of your own to call you dad. And not just any kid...a kid that can't be taken away from you..." She then whispered the last part. "Or me." I then saw her tear up and went to move the plate from the bed to my side table.

Moving to lay down more, I went to bring her close to me as I realized why this baby was so important to her. This was the first opportunity for us to have a child that could never be taken away from us. The moment this baby is born, they are ours for life. "Hey, look at me. Gabby, I can't make promises. But, I am going to try my best to make sure that this time around...you get to be called mommy or mama or whatever name you want to be called for the rest of your life. You have been through too much heartbreak over the years and it's time for you...for us to have this. For us to have our family again."

Gabby nodded when I said that. "Listen, can we just eat? Then we can talk about this. Last night we celebrated but now we need to talk. And don't argue with me because you know me, obsessive." I laughed when she said that. "By the way, I got a letter from a doctor you went to see in Puerto Rico a couple months ago. I didn't open it though." Gabby then looked at me. "It didn't happen to come from a Dr. Luis Obispo did it?" I then looked at her and nodded.

"Why exactly? Is it important?" Gabby sighed when I said that. "Just him being an idiot like always. I needed those results so that I could get back into the mountains a couple weeks ago but they banned me because they didn't get the results of my yearly mamogram." I then looked at her. "Wait, cancer screening?" Gabby nodded when I said that. "Hey, nothing to be worried about. I don't have cancer." I nodded when she said that before bringing her close to me. "You would've called me right? Had you had cancer?"

Gabby nodded when I said that. "Hey, of course I would have. You are my husband and I would've wanted you there." I nodded and agreed with her. That's when I decided to grab the food again and went to put it on the bed. Grabbing the fork, I went to take a bite and smiled at her. Gabby then rolled over in my arms and went to grab her own fork to eat too. Holding her close as we ate breakfast together, I couldn't help but smile because she was back and pregnant.
